Evie and Alex’s elopement at Vaughan House Micro-Weddings was such a beautiful reflection of the two of them and their relationship. I loved getting to narrate their love story and bring some of their humor and personality into the ceremony while still giving them those romantic moments that deserve to be felt. They also included a Celtic handfasting using a cord they made together which made the tradition even more special and personal. From telling their story to watching them exchange rings and make those promises to each other, I truly loved being part of their journey. 🤍

One little thing I always do when my couples choose to exchange personal vows is step away and give them their moment. I don’t want to be standing in their peripheral view while they’re saying some of the most personal words they’ve written to each other and killing the vibe. Evie and Alex made their ceremony even more personal with a handfasting, and after I pronounced them husband and wife, they jumped the broom together symbolizing their leap into their new future as a married couple. Congratulations, Evie and Alex! 🤍

Introducing the new Mr. & Mrs. Morgan! I had the absolute best time with Ashley and Louis from our very first phone call, getting to know them and their story, rehearsal day, and getting to marry them today at Diamond V Farm. They completely caught me off guard with the sweetest thank you gifts. The second I saw the beautiful leather notebook engraved with my name, I started tearing up and the Stanley cup could not have come at a better time with that heat today! And while tips are NEVER expected, I was completely floored by their incredibly generous 45% gratuity. I seriously don’t know how many times I can say thank you. Ashley and Louis, you made me feel so appreciated and I’m just really honored I got to tell your love story. 🤍🥹

I know there are a million ways to run a business but one thing I’ve realized I really value is handling my own social media.

When you see a post here, it’s actually me behind it. When you send a message, you’re talking to me. When I comment on your post or reach out to connect, that’s me too.

Could I probably save myself some time by handing some of it off? Absolutely. But so much of what I do is personal and I want my personality to come through here too. I want couples and other wedding professionals to get a feel for who I actually am before we ever meet in person.

Social media can sometimes feel a little less “social” than it used to and I never want my page to feel that way. I genuinely enjoy getting to know the people behind the accounts, answering questions, chatting with couples, and connecting with others in this industry.

So for the foreseeable future, it’s still me over here posting, answering messages, commenting, connecting, and probably spending entirely too much time on Instagram and Facebook. 😆🤍

Taylor and Michael made it official! 🤍 They’re heading out on the Disney Wish in a few weeks where they’ll have a handfasting ceremony, so they wanted to take care of the legal part before their trip. I really enjoyed getting to meet them and hear about what they have planned. And their sweet boy Jackson came along too and gave me some of the best hugs! 🥹 I hope you guys have the most amazing time on your cruise!

Araceli and Ulices celebrated their marriage at the Cornerstone gazebo surrounded by such a wonderful group of family and friends. Their ceremony was spoken in Spanish so their loved ones could fully understand and be part of every moment. I’m so happy I got to be the one to make these two officially husband and wife! 🤍

A few photos from Old City Cemetery Museums and Arboretum’s Wedding Showcase! I’ve had the opportunity to officiate here many times before and it really is such a hidden gem in Lynchburg. Their beautiful historic chapel has so much charm and having the option to use both the indoor and outdoor spaces makes it such a unique spot for an intimate wedding or elopement. If you’re looking for something a little different with tons of character and history, definitely don’t overlook this one! 🤍

Danielle and Eloy chose the Cornerstone gazebo for their quiet, intimate elopement with just their two kids there with them. They met 7 years ago while working together, hit it off right away, and the rest is history! I loved getting to hear a little bit of their story and be the one to make it official for this beautiful little family. 🤍
