**What if the way you talk to yourself is holding you back more than you realize?**

We all have an inner voice. But have you ever stopped to question where yours came from?

Is it encouraging you to grow, or keeping you stuck in old patterns?

💜 Positive self-talk isn't about pretending everything is perfect. Sometimes, it starts with simply getting curious about the stories we tell ourselves.

This is just one of the things we'll explore at our *Coming Back to Yourself: Beyond the Inner Critic* women's retreat on October 25.

**Here's something to think about today:**

If someone you loved spoke to themselves the way you speak to yourself, what would you want them to know?

Wild & Stable Foundation is officially launching our first fundraising campaign!

Our goal is to make youth wellness programs, equine-assisted learning, scholarships, and community support more accessible, while also developing initiatives that support those impacted by domestic violence and help prevent future abuse.

We're starting with some meaningful partnerships, including Diamond Tattoo in Bellingham, and have so many ideas for the future!

If you're able to donate, thank you. If not, simply sharing our fundraiser can help us reach people who want to support these programs.

BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT WILD & STABLE!

We been working on some exciting projects behind the scenes, and I'm so excited to share how we're growing, collaborating, and creating new opportunities in our community!

WILD & STABLE FOUNDATION — OUR NEW NONPROFIT!

Wild & Stable Foundation is officially an approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit!

Our mission is to make wellness, personal growth, education, and supportive experiences more accessible through scholarships, community partnerships, and programming.

Throughout October and November, we're focusing our fundraising efforts on **supporting those impacted by domestic violence and helping prevent future abuse.**

💜 **A MEANINGFUL NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH DIAMOND TATTOO!**

We're excited to partner with Diamond Tattoo in Bellingham!

For some domestic violence survivors, tattoos can be painful reminders of abuse, including tattoos that were forced or connected to past relationships.

Through this partnership, a portion of funds raised during our October and November campaign will help provide cover-up tattoos for eligible survivors.

It's about giving people the opportunity to reclaim their bodies, their choices, and their stories, on their own terms.

**ANOTHER EXCITING PARTNERSHIP | OUR OCTOBER 25 WOMEN'S RETREAT!**

I'm also thrilled to be collaborating with Abigail Tolman, a certified yoga instructor and mindfulness guide, for our upcoming retreat:

✨ **COMING BACK TO YOURSELF: BEYOND THE INNER CRITIC** ✨

How often do we give ourselves the same compassion, understanding, and patience that we so freely offer everyone else?

This half-day retreat is an opportunity to step away from everyday responsibilities and explore the way we speak to ourselves.

Together, Abigail and I will guide you through:

Horse-guided reflection — no riding or horse experience necessary

Restorative yoga and mindfulness with Abigail

Guided reflection and a take-home workbook

Tea, snacks, and meaningful connection

**Sunday, October 25 | 11 AM–3 PM**
Lynden, WA
**$125 per person** Scholarships are available, just ask!

You don't need to have anything figured out. Just come as you are.

“You’re remembering it wrong.”
“That never happened.”
“You’re too sensitive.”
“You always twist things.”

When someone repeatedly denies what happened, dismisses your experience, or insists your reactions are the problem, you may begin to question your own memory and judgment.

This pattern is often called gaslighting. It can leave you replaying conversations, collecting proof, or asking someone else whether you’re “allowed” to feel hurt.

A disagreement or a difference in memory isn’t automatically gaslighting. The concern is a repeated pattern that undermines your trust in yourself and shifts attention away from the other person’s behavior.

You deserve conversations where your experience is heard and concerns can be addressed with honesty and accountability. You don’t have to remember every detail perfectly for your feelings to matter. 💜

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Wild & Stable is helping bring words to experiences that can be difficult to explain.

Save this reminder for a day when self-doubt feels loud.

You don’t have to wait until things get “bad enough” to take your feelings seriously. 💜

Emotional safety, kindness, and respect are basic needs in a relationship. You deserve to express a concern, set a boundary, or ask for support without fearing punishment, humiliation, or retaliation.

One difficult conversation doesn’t tell the whole story. Pay attention to repeated patterns, and whether there’s room for your voice, your needs, and meaningful change.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. At Wild & Stable, we’re opening conversations about emotional abuse, healthy relationships, and reconnecting with yourself.

You deserve to feel safe being you.

💜 Save or share this reminder. You never know who might need it.

Your world deserves room to grow, not shrink around one person. 💜

You can love your partner and still have friendships, family connections, interests, and people you turn to for support.

Isolation can happen gradually: pressure to cancel plans, demands to monitor your conversations, or conflict whenever you spend time with others. Over time, you may find yourself pulling away just to avoid the consequences.

A partner can express concerns about a specific relationship. Repeatedly using fear, threats, or control to cut you off from support is a warning sign.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Wild & Stable is bringing attention to patterns that can be easy to overlook.

You deserve connection beyond your relationship. You deserve support, and you don’t have to figure everything out alone.

💜 Save or share this reminder with someone who may need it.

10/07/2026

Kindness, respect, emotional safety, and basic communication are reasonable things to want in a relationship. 💜

Healthy relationships have disagreements. Partners may need to work through different needs, boundaries, and communication styles, but you deserve to participate in those conversations without fear.

If expressing your needs repeatedly leads to threats, humiliation, intimidation, or retaliation, that pattern may be a warning sign of emotional abuse.

You don’t have to minimize your needs to keep the peace. Your voice matters, and you deserve to feel safe using it.

This October, for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Wild & Stable is bringing awareness to harmful relationship patterns and opening conversations about self-worth, boundaries, and connection.

Abuse isn’t always physical. Recognizing the patterns can be a first step toward finding support.

💜 Save or share this reminder. Please protect your privacy when commenting, you don’t owe anyone your story.
