Never stop believing in yourself because you really never know where the next opportunity is going to come from.

We came all the way from Washington to Hanford, California. We started talking to somebody at the shop and that random conversation helped me land a guest spot at Black Raven Tattoo Studio.

That’s how crazy life can be. One minute you’re just going about your day and the next minute a new door opens.

Keep putting yourself out there, keep talking to people and keep believing in what you’re building. You might be a lot closer than you think.

Welcome to the very first episode of Tattoo Nightmare Stories—the series where I talk about the crazy, uncomfortable and sometimes unbelievable situations that happen inside the tattoo industry.

These stories are meant to entertain, educate and hopefully help other tattoo artists and clients avoid making the same mistakes. Names and certain details may be changed to protect everyone involved.

Tattoo artists and collectors: What’s your worst tattoo nightmare story? Drop it in the comments or send it to me privately—it might become a future episode.

Follow Mikey Blanco Tattoos for honest tattoo advice, behind-the-scenes content and more real stories from the industry.
