I burst into tears during my first energy healing session about 20 years ago. I don't know that I've shared that with too many people now that I think of it.
The practitioner looked me in the eyes so gently at the end of the session, while I was choking back tears (because how embarrassing to show emotion), and all she said was: "It's okay to let it out."
I did. I cried.
I didn't know it then, but that moment planted something in me - the idea that healing didn't require explaining yourself or symptoms, performing wellness, or having it together. It just required someone willing to hold space while I fell apart a little.
That's the practitioner I try to be now. Not the one who needs you to explain what's wrong. Just the one who says: Let it out. I've got you.
