🌿🥬 Exciting news from the Bourke St. Community Garden — we just picked our first harvest of the season! This luscious lettuce is headed straight to the local food pantry, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share the bounty with our community. 💚🍽️

We invite you to visit the garden anytime — even after sunset! We’ve added more string lights creating a beautiful, cozy atmosphere perfect for sitting back and enjoying the evening glow. ✨🌙

👀Keep an eye out for new signage coming soon that will share helpful info and tips to make your garden visits even more rewarding.

Here are a few quick tips for harvesting:
🌱 Only pick plants that are clearly marked “Ready to Harvest.”
🌿 Not everything that looks like a w**d is one—some might be young plants just getting started.🚫 Please do not w**d without an Extension representative present to help identify plants and keep our garden healthy.

🌱🍅🌸 The wait is over—our 2026 Macon Area Farmers Market Series kicks off THIS SATURDAY, May 2nd! 🌸🍅🌱

Join us from 10 AM to 2 PM downtown at the Bourke St. Community Garden & beyond for a beautiful spring day filled with fresh goods from local farmers, bakers, growers, artisans, and more! ☀️🥕🍞🎨

Start your morning at the garden (114 E. Bourke) where you may find county 4-H participants showcasing their projects. Then wander through downtown to find all your favorite local treasures. 🌻🌽🌿

THEN, mark your calendars for our monthly markets on the last Saturday of each month through September:📅 June 27 | July 25 | August 29 | September 26

Then, on Thanksgiving night, some secret holiday elves snuck in and turned the whole place into a sparkling wonderland with Christmas lights and festive cheer! 💡✨🧑‍🎄 And just when you thought it couldn’t get more magical, Mother Nature joined the fun—two winter storms swept through, covering everything in a blanket of shimmering snow.
