🎬✨ Yesterday, Joshua's Wish was honored to host a private showing of Toy Story 5 for families in our community. ✨🎬

The laughter, excitement, and smiles throughout the afternoon were a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Joshua's Wish is grateful for the opportunity to meet and spend time with these amazing families. Creating moments of joy and connection is at the heart of our mission, and we were honored to share this special afternoon together.

Special thanks to the Navicent Health Foundation, whose support helped make this event possible. We are also grateful to everyone who continues to support Joshua's Wish and our efforts to bring hope, encouragement, and special experiences to families affected by childhood cancer.

Thank you to all who attended. We hope everyone had a wonderful time, and we look forward to creating more memories together in the future.

💙 Thank you for being part of the Joshua's Wish family.

❤️ Last week, we stopped by Hope for Kids to spread some cheer and spend time with a few amazing children and families.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. The courage, strength, and resilience these children show every day is truly inspiring. Even in the midst of treatments, appointments, and uncertainty, their smiles continue to shine brightly.

We are grateful for the opportunity to visit, encourage, and remind these families that they are surrounded by a community that cares. No family should have to walk this journey alone.

🙏 Please keep these children and their families in your prayers. Pray for strength, healing, comfort, peace, and hope as they continue their fight against childhood cancer.

Together, we will continue raising awareness, and working toward a future where no child loses their battle to cancer.

🎗️ Brain Tumor Awareness Month Has Ended But Our Mission Continues 🎗️

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported Joshua's Wish throughout the month. Whether you attended an event, volunteered, donated, shared our message, or simply helped raise awareness, you made a difference.

A very special thank you goes to Dr. Consuela Williams Holliday for serving as Chair of our inaugural Line Dancing for a Cure event. Your leadership, dedication, and passion helped make this event a tremendous success, bringing our community together in support of children and families affected by pediatric brain tumors. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to our mission.

While May is recognized as Brain Tumor Awareness Month, our work continues year-round. Joshua's Wish remains dedicated to funding pediatric brain tumor research, supporting local families facing childhood cancer, and advocating for better treatments and ultimately a cure.

💛 In memory of the children we have lost.
💛 In honor of those still fighting.
💛 In support of the families walking this journey today.
💛 In hope for a future free from pediatric brain tumors.

Thank you for standing with us. Together, we will continue turning awareness into action and hope into progress.

🎗️ Joshua's Wish Announces Our 2026 Undergraduate Summer Research Award Recipient 🎗️

Congratulations to Elisa Wiadacz of the University of Michigan, recipient of the 2026 Joshua's Wish Undergraduate Summer Research Award in DIPG/DMG Research and a $5,000 research award supporting her work in pediatric brain tumor research.

Elisa's project focuses on understanding the biological differences within DIPG/DMG tumors to help advance more personalized and effective treatments for children facing these devastating diagnoses.

A University of Michigan student and former researcher at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Elisa is pursuing a future in pediatric cancer research and medicine as an MD-PhD physician-scientist.

This award was inspired by Dr. Lionel Chow, Chair of the Joshua's Wish Advisory Board, whose vision has helped shape this program and its commitment to advancing DIPG/DMG research.

Elisa's research is being conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Daniel de la Nava, PhD, and Dr. Carl Koschmann, MD, at the University of Michigan's Chad Carr Pediatric Brain Tumor Center.

Special thanks to Dr. Matthew Halbert, Co-Chair of the Joshua's Wish Advisory Board, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and former Joshua's Wish Research Award recipient, and Dr. Bucholtz of Mercer University for their time, expertise, and assistance in selecting this year's recipient from an outstanding group of applicants.

Please join us in congratulating Elisa on this well-deserved honor as we continue investing in the next generation of researchers working toward better treatments—and ultimately a cure—for pediatric brain tumors. 💛🎗️

Today we celebrate one of our amazing founders, Labrina Solomon, of Joshua’s Wish. After the devastating loss of her son Joshua to DIPG, she turned unimaginable heartbreak into a mission of hope, awareness, and support for families affected by childhood brain tumors. Her strength, compassion, and dedication continue to inspire so many.

Happy Birthday, Labrina! 💛🎗️ Thank you for continuing the fight against childhood brain cancer and for honoring Joshua’s legacy through Joshua’s Wish. Your impact reaches far beyond what you know, and we are grateful to stand beside you in this mission.

What a wonderful day of dancing, fellowship, fun, and purpose. We had an amazing time coming together to raise funds and awareness in support of brain tumor awareness and the mission of Joshua’s Wish.

A heartfelt thank you to And 5678 Line Dance for partnering with us and leading the group with so much energy, joy, and spirit and DJ Que for providing music that kept the energy going throughout the entire 4 hour event. We also want to sincerely thank Macon-Bibb County Parks and Recreation and South Bibb Recreation Center for their partnership and support in helping make this event possible.

To our volunteers — thank you for giving your time, helping hands, and positive energy, Amber Leacock, who helped set up, and Sandra Jackson, who donated food, helped set up and clean up, and Gloria Bond. You helped everything run smoothly, and we truly appreciate you.

Thank you also to our vendors for being part of this special day and helping make the event even more enjoyable. Be sure to check out the vendor photos and captions as we highlight them.
