Modani Care serves children, adults and seniors through CCSP, SOURCE, ICWP, GAPP, VA benefits and Private Pay. We believe that, if given a choice, most individuals prefer to remain at home, in a familiar setting near family and friends. We work in close cooperation with the individual, their family and medical personnel to arrange the quality care and services necessary to enable each person to remain in their own home.

Today, we’re proud to recognize Ms. Josephine Holt as our October Caregiver of the Month! 💙

Ms. Josephine has been a part of the Modani Care family for seven years and brings an incredible 55 years of experience in caregiving and healthcare.

For Ms. Josephine, caregiving is about helping those who may not be able to care for themselves. She has dedicated her career to caring for the elderly and individuals with disabilities and finds joy in being able to provide the support and compassion they need.

Her favorite part of working with her clients is simple: taking care of them and loving on them. Her caring heart and dedication to others are just a few of the reasons she is such a valued part of our team.

Today, we’re proud to recognize Michelle, as our McRae Caregiver of the Month! 💙

Michelle has been a part of the Modani Care family for three years and seven months and brings more than 25 years of caregiving experience, both privately and through healthcare companies.

Michelle chose caregiving because of her passion for helping the elderly and individuals with disabilities. One of her favorite things about being a caregiver is continuing to learn new things, meeting and interacting with different people, and hearing the stories her clients share about their lives and experiences.

Her favorite part of working with her client is the communication they share and having opportunities to get out and experience new places together.

🌟 Get Paid to Care for Your Child Through GAPP! 🌟

Caring for a child with complex medical needs is a full-time commitment, and for some families, GAPP may provide the option for a parent or family member to become a paid caregiver for their child. 💙

🔍 What is GAPP?
The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is a Medicaid program for eligible children and young adults under age 21 who are medically fragile and require ongoing care and support in the home.

Depending on your child’s needs and eligibility, services may include:
• Skilled nursing care provided by an RN or LPN
• Personal support services for assistance with daily care needs
• The opportunity for an eligible parent, guardian, or family member to be hired and paid as a caregiver for approved non-skilled services

At Modani Care, we understand that navigating Medicaid programs can feel overwhelming. I work directly with families to help determine whether a child may be a good candidate for GAPP, guide them through the referral and assessment process, and support them every step of the way.

Today, we’re excited to recognize Linda Smith and the compassion she brings to the Modani Care family! 💙

Linda has been a part of Modani Care since February 2023 and has been a caregiver for four years.

For Linda, caregiving is personal. Her journey began when her mother was diagnosed with cancer and she stepped into the role of caring for her. That experience inspired her to continue helping and caring for others.

When asked what is most important to her as a caregiver, Linda shared that it is providing the best possible care and support for her clients and their families.

Her favorite part of working with her clients is knowing that she is helping them receive the care they need while remaining in the comfort of their own home. 🏡💙
