SAFETY & DESTINATION ZERO

At PHI Air Medical, safety drives our every decision. Everything we do comes back to the safety of our crew and our patients and it is why we outfit each aircraft we fly with the most advanced technology and subject our crews to the most rigorous protocols and training anywhere. It is also why we ensure that the most advanced and efficient technology is an essential and

required component of every
aircraft we operate. PHI Air Medical has remained well below the national accident rate average and was the first company to receive the prestigious Vision Zero Aviation Safety Award. We have achieved historic milestones over the past few years and have identified and initiated the following innovations to build on our culture of safety. We also recognize that human factors play a critical role in safety. It is why we have empowered our employees across the company to Stand Up, Speak Out and Take Action against unsafe behavior through our leading Destination Zero initiative.

Last evening, we were invited to go to Delaware Comm. Volunteer FD for a LZ training. We could have not had any more perfect weather for this training! β˜€οΈβ˜€οΈ

The department had designed and installed a permanent LZ in their field directly next to the firehouse! Nice flat, grass, open field! Permanent lighting in the ground, that is safe for us at night with our Night Vision Googles on. Our pilot was so impressed by the quality of work put into this, he could have not given any more compliments! Great work on your part! The hard work put in, did not go unnoticed!

No matter how many LZ classes that you have attended to, you will learn something new or you will be reminded of the importance of safety and how critical it is! Please never stop training! πŸ’ͺ

Thank you for the invite to be able to come train and talk with your department! It was a really great time!

If any department would like to schedule a LZ training, please contact us! If you have a community event that you would like our helicopter to fly into, contact us! We love getting out into the community and meeting new people and new departments!

⭐️⭐️ CONGRATULATIONS SHOUTOUT ⭐️⭐️

Congratulations to our mechanic Rob! He was delivered a Coin of Excellence during our Safety Stand Down event.

He was recognized by an anonymous employee of PHI for his dedication and the hard work he has devoted into making our hanger in such a pristine condition to work in. Not only that, but Rob takes pride in his work on our aircraft. He will do anything and everything to make the aircraft as safe as possible for flight. Rob takes time to read and understand every component about our aircraft. If he does not know the answer to a question, he will research and research, until he has a full knowledge of the answer.

His work has not gone unnoticed.
Thank you Rob!

We want to share such an accomplishment to our friends and family! Congratulations again Rob!
Presenting the coin is our program director Josh Brand. πŸšπŸ› οΈπŸ’›πŸ–€

On Thursday, our crews took part in our annual Safety Stand Down at the Aviation Museum in Lexington at Bluegrass Airport.

At PHI, safety is the core of our foundation. Our Safety Stand Down events bring the company’s air medical bases together in different parts of the nation to remember how important it is to remain diligent and aware of our surroundings. It reminds us how important it is not to become complacent. We strive for perfection, we strive to be better to help our teammates. Seeing our other base co-workers brings joy and camaraderie among us. It is always a great time meeting and seeing people from all the different bases.

We commit ourselves to maintain the up most safety standards for ourselves, to our families, coworkers, and communities.

We strive for Zero. πŸšπŸ–€πŸ’›
