I’ve started a routine “death bed” gratitude list.
Sounds gruesome, but hear me out. 🤣
In my life as a Medium, I’ve consistently witnessed that, upon crossing over, we each experience a life review. I can remember as early as age six hearing the recently deceased describe what they thought about on their death beds.
With rare exception, their thoughts were about love and gratitude.
Memories of unforgettable moments of bliss, joy, and love. Moments for which they remained incredibly grateful.
With this in mind, I began asking myself: What might those death-bed, life-review moments be for me?
And I began writing them down.
Every day—sometimes several times a day—I take note of a memory that pops into my mind.
The actual magic I’ve witnessed in this world and in all of us. The awe-filled experiences I’ve had. The tiny, precious moments of connection. The understandings. The surprises. The sunshine.
All the little and extraordinary moments that, when everything else falls away, feel like they matter most.
This practice has become uplifting and stabilizing, at the same time. It has shifted my perspective and my appreciation for each present moment.
So I ask you:
What is one memory you’ll surely take with you?
