Abuse often becomes more dangerous when a woman is pregnant, financially dependent, isolated, or emotionally exhausted. Those moments should never be used as opportunities for control, intimidation, or manipulation. A woman deserves safety, support, respect, and the freedom to seek help without being made to feel guilty or powerless. Pregnancy and motherhood should come with protection and compassion—not fear. If someone becomes more controlling when they know you have fewer options, that is not love; it is a serious warning sign. No woman should have to stay silent just to keep the peace. ❤️

They Took Away His Freedom. He Turned Himself Into a Weapon of Truth.

Malcolm X’s story is a powerful reminder that a person’s beginning does not have to determine their ending.

From poverty, crime, and prison, he discovered the transformative power of reading and education. Behind bars, he consumed books, studied history, religion, language, and politics—and emerged with a radically transformed mind.

His journey was not perfect, and his views evolved significantly throughout his life. But one thing remained constant: his determination to educate himself and challenge systems he believed were built on injustice.

Malcolm X showed that education is more than certificates. Sometimes, it is the process of reclaiming your mind.

How different would your life become if you committed yourself to learning every single day?

Very amazing. What I love about this is that I painted a painting of my ancestor before seeing this Bible and it is so similar it’s eerie.

The artifact referenced is the Garima Gospels, preserved at the remote Abba Garima Monastery in the Tigray region of northern Ethiopia.

Key Facts About the Manuscripts

Age & Creation: Radiocarbon testing by Oxford University dates the parchment pages between 330 AD and 650 AD. This confirms them as the world's oldest surviving complete illuminated (illustrated) Christian manuscript, predating earlier-known illustrated Bibles like the Syrian Rabbula Gospels.

Material: The text is hand-written on durable goatskin parchment (vellum) and bound in two separate volumes (Garima 1 and Garima 2).

Language & Script: It is written in Ge'ez (Ethiopic), an ancient South Semitic language that served as the official written language of the Aksumite Empire and remains the liturgical language of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.

Illustrations: The volumes feature vibrant illuminations, including portraits of the Four Evangelists (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), canon tables, and intricate architectural motifs executed in early Byzantine and Coptic styles.

Monastic Legend: Local tradition holds that the gospels were transcribed in a single day by Abba Garima, one of the Nine Saints who brought Christianity to Ethiopia in the late 5th century. Legend says God held the sun in the sky until the saint finished his work.

The manuscripts have survived intact for over 1,500 years in the same high-altitude monastic location, protected from invasion, fire, and climate degradation.
