Heart meridian points are a direct extension of heart tissue.

They follow the arteries and carry the same tensile feel.

Palpate the artery first. Move it aside. Then needle next to it — not into it.

The feeling hand is everything here.

The small intestine is the hollow organ paired with the heart.

Its job? Move things away so the dense organ can function.

Anxiety, heat, tremors, fibrillations — drain them through SI, not HT.

The hollow organ is your drainage tube. Use it.

Constipation protocol—write this down.

ST-25: front mu of the large intestine. Stimulates bowel motility directly into the organ.

ST-37: lower uniting point. Boosts the strength of peristalsis.

KI-6 + LU-7: master couple of the conception vessel. Adds moisture to the bowel.

And don't forget LI-11.

Address the organ, the muscle, and the moisture. That's the full picture.

But there are patients where you're less certain. Where you reach for your reliable combinations and hope the treatment moves things in the right direction. Where the pattern in front of you doesn't quite fit what you learned, and you're working from instinct more than framework.

LI-20 at the edge of the nostril is your go-to for allergic rhinitis.

But for difficulty breathing, thread from LI-20 up to Bitong.

Use an inch to inch-and-a-half needle, leave half out, and run it right along the naris.

It dilates the nasal sphincter—and opening the naris opens the trachea, bronchi, and lungs as a whole system.

Asthma, wheezing, coughing, allergic rhinitis—go for it.

Instant. Effective. Elegant.

LI-18 sits between the two heads of the SCM at throat level.

Needle perpendicular, one inch, close to thyroid tissue.

Works for both hyperthyroid and hypothyroid conditions.

The carotid is nearby—but you'd have to be a brute to hit it from this angle.

For neck pain, this practitioner reaches for bladder, kidney, gallbladder, or triple heater.

LI-18 is reserved for thyroid work. That specificity matters.

At LI16, needle direction is a safety issue—not a preference.

The lung apex rises 2–3 cm above the midline of the clavicle.

A 2-inch needle angled inward toward center can cause pneumothorax.

Always needle slightly outward at this point.

Know your anatomy. Know your angles.

This one matters.

When shoulder pain gets worse in cold, damp weather—that's a cold bi pattern.

Treat cold with heat. That's the principle.

Deep needle LI15. Place a moxa cone on the needle. Light it.

The metal conducts heat directly into the joint, increases blood flow, and improves range of motion.

This is direct needle moxa for cold-type osteoarthritis.

Yin-Yang theory made clinical.

One of the most useful principles in needling:

Needle to the level you want to affect.

Bone condition? Nick the periosteum.
Ligament issue? Touch the ligament.
Muscle problem? Go deep into muscle.

GB34 over the fibular head for ligament work. ST36 deep for muscle-related conditions.

Match the pathology to the depth. That's the whole game.

The Spleen Meridian: Why Warmth Matters More Than Stimulation

TJ completed his clinical reel series on the Lung meridian. Now he’s deep into the Spleen meridian , and if you’re a practitioner, you need to be watching this.

Because Spleen is different.

It requires a different approach. A different touch. A different understanding.

And TJ is breaking it all down—one point at a time.
