Ukraine Trip Update: Heading Home 🇺🇸✈️🇺🇦

📸🇵🇱 Photo highlights from Warsaw, Poland.

✈️ I am at the airport, on my way home from my 7th humanitarian volunteer trip to Ukraine. Before boarding, I spent time walking the beautiful, historic streets of Warsaw — from the old town to the Ukrainian Embassy, to “Slava Ukraini” written right into the sidewalk.

🙏🏽To everyone I met along the way, to the incredible volunteers on the ground, and to the people of Ukraine: I will miss you all.

✅ My time on the ground is wrapping up — but my advocacy does not end when I step off the plane.

Trip 8 is already in the works. 🇺🇦

🇵🇱 I am currently in Poland, on my way home from my 7th humanitarian trip to Ukraine. I filmed this video starting at the Avenue of the Victims of Russian Aggression in Warsaw. By legally renaming the pedestrian path right outside the Russian Embassy gates, this city stripped away the propaganda and anchored a permanent truth on the map for all to see.

🇺🇦From there, I visited for the first time the Ukrainian Embassy to show my support.

📣But solidarity requires more than symbols. It requires matching our words with concrete action.

📌 Watch this video and share it. Sharing is an act of solidarity. It fights the propaganda machine, one feed at a time.

(Hint: It’s not a military target.)

🌻This is a midday walk through a busy Friday in Independence Square (Maidan Nezalezhnosti). This is a vibrant center of civilian life.

🚨While the methods of Russian aggression vary across cities, towns, and villages—whether through missiles, drones, artillery, or combined strikes—one truth remains absolute: the deliberate, indiscriminate targeting of civilian areas and critical infrastructure is a grave violation of international law. It is a war crime. Full stop.

➡️ I will always share the culture and beauty of the places where I volunteer, but I must also show the undeniable truth that mainstream media often misses and social media algorithms actively suppress. Russia’s continuous attacks are designed to terrorize everyday people, but Ukraine refuses to break.

📣The Ukrainian people are incredibly resilient. But let’s never confuse resilience with not needing help. They are resilient because they have no other choice.

🕊️My fifth visit to Kyiv’s Maidan Nezalezhnosti to honor the fallen. It’s a place that leaves a deeper impression each time. The flags, the photos, the names — each tells a story of sacrifice, a living memorial to the heroes who defend Ukraine. The increase in these markers is a heavy reminder of the cost of freedom.

Their heroism will never be forgotten.🇺🇦

🕊️ I also brought a candle for my Ukrainian friend Oleg Salnyk — a 28-year-old humanitarian volunteer who embodied courage, compassion, and an unforgettable sense of humor. Oleg made me feel so welcome during both of my trips to Kherson in 2023 and 2024
