How are you doing? No, really...How are you?
2020 has been full of traumatic experiences and traumatic events. How you acknowledge and deal with the effects NOW is key.
Trauma is the emotional, psychological, and physiological residue left over from heightened levels of toxic stress.
Our public health system is failing because we’ve neglected dealing with trauma early on when people need help.
We see that in statistics like:
✔️90% of mental health disorders are rooted in unresolved trauma.
✔️80% of addiction is rooted in unresolved trauma
Trauma impacts every part of our lives and our being, and has lasting effects on our lives if not holistically healed.
We often feel that through behavior modification alone, that the emotions will subside, but that is only one facet of what needs to be a multi-faceted approach. Behavior will not deal with the residual physiological effects. We have to begin to manage our body differently so the level of stress begins to diminish.
Why? Because stress produces dis-ease…DISEASE.
