One of the things that makes La Luna so special is the people behind it. Watching our team grow professionally while also celebrating so many exciting life chapters together is something we never take for granted.

A special shoutout to our three beautiful moms-to-be who joined us, and to the four other pregnant team members who couldn’t make it this time, we’re officially in our baby era over here! 🍼✨

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to remember that mental health doesn’t stop being important on June 1st.

Awareness is a great starting point, but real change happens when we continue the conversations, challenge the stigma, seek support when we need it, and show up for one another every day of the year.

Just as we don’t hesitate to see a doctor when we’re physically unwell, we deserve to treat our emotional and mental well-being with the same care and attention.

Whether you’re thriving, struggling, healing, grieving, growing, or simply getting through the day, your mental health matters.

Let’s keep the conversation going beyond May. Let’s keep normalizing therapy, asking for help, checking in on loved ones, and prioritizing our well-being.

Meet Cassandra 🤍🌊

We’re excited to introduce Cassandra Martinez, a therapist who brings authenticity, compassion, and over 11 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families.

Cassandra specializes in working with neurodivergent children, behavioral challenges, trauma, emotional regulation, family dynamics, and life transitions. Her approach is deeply relational and rooted in the belief that every person is the expert of their own story. Therapy with Cassandra is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual and family she serves.

Before joining La Luna, Cassandra lived and worked throughout Alaska, including above the Arctic Circle, where she worked closely with children, families, schools, and Indigenous communities. These experiences helped shape her culturally responsive and person-centered approach to care.

Outside of the therapy room, Cassandra is a devoted mom who says her daughter inspires her to be a better person every day. She’s an animal lover, an avid traveler, and a firm believer that the best meals are found somewhere other than a chain restaurant. When she needs to recharge, you’ll likely find her by the ocean, her favorite place to reset and reconnect.

Most importantly, Cassandra believes in showing up as her authentic self in every role she holds, creating a space where clients feel safe to do the same.

Meet Cody 🌲✨

We’re so excited to highlight Cody Watters, LSW, on the La Luna team!

With over 10 years of clinical experience across multiple levels of care, Cody brings a grounded, collaborative, and down to earth approach to therapy. He works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, family conflict, substance use, mood disorders, and men’s mental health, always creating a space where clients can show up exactly as they are without judgment.

Cody believes therapy should feel human first. Genuine connection, honesty, and feeling understood are at the center of the work he does.

When he’s not supporting clients, you’ll probably find him exploring the Pine Barrens, photographing mushrooms from every possible angle, and recharging in nature (don’t worry, he promises to keep the “nature as therapy” metaphors mostly under control 🍄).

Motherhood can be beautiful.
And exhausting.
And isolating.
And overwhelming.

La Luna was born from Angela’s own experience navigating postpartum depression after the birth of her second child and recognizing how difficult it was to find the support she needed.

That experience became the heart behind everything we do.

Today, we honor every mother, the ones thriving, the ones struggling silently, the ones healing, and the ones simply doing their best one day at a time.

You deserve support too. 💜
