I’ve been feeling a slow/new deepening in the work and service I am here to offer. Feeling the accumulation of time spent with elders, teachers, plant beings, and lands - how they inform the space I’m able to create. This is an ode to some of the teachers I’ve been privileged to study with and the lineages that inform my offerings.
Rosita Arvigo ~in studying Maya abdominal massage I felt such gratitude for the hands and wisdom brought to Rosita from Don Elijio Panti and Mrs.Hortence. There’s very little bodywork trainings that I know of that honor the womb in the same way. That’s main focus is bringing the uterus back into alignment as it is the center of a woman’s world. That the alignment of that center can shift one’s entire life and experience. To be on Ixchel farm in Belize with the plant spirits and goddesses that inform the work was nothing short of incredible and lives in my heart each time I am able to offer this service.
Homprang in the country side of Chang Mai, an incredible healer and herbalist with an entire program dedicated again to bringing the uterus back into alignment. The slow methodical practice of lifting the womb back home and anchoring it in with the warmth and healing properties of plants.
Sage at the Gaia school of Healing. I’d say making the choice to study plant spirit / folk herbalism absolutely changed my life. I had done my first plant spirit meditation with a new friend while newly living in VT and I felt it! Felt in a way that I immediately wanted to know more, meet more plant spirits and begin building that relationship (thanks tulsi). I looked up the program, it started in a week and I was in. For the next two years and then continued years after tending the plants on the land.
At the end of this month again I will be deepening studies in another form of bodywork and feeling the utter excitement to add it into this lineage of work. Dedicating myself the body’s healing, women’s health has absolutely shaped my life over the past 15 years in the most magical of ways. It’s an honor to share these lineages through my hands with each body that comes to my table. 💗🙌💗
