Last week, we celebrated a season of hard work at N2 Aesthetics with a team-building day.

We traded treatment rooms for the pickleball court at California Smash, followed by a poolside lunch at Terranea and some very well-deserved massages.

As providers, we spend the majority of our days focused on our patients, our craft, and continuing to raise the standard at N2. Taking a day to step away, spend time together, and celebrate what this team has accomplished felt important.

Back to work, slightly better at pickleball and significantly more relaxed.

The lower face and neck can have a much bigger impact on facial aging than most patients realize.

As we age, the platysma can contribute to downward pull through the lower face, making the jawline look less defined and contributing to the appearance of jowling. By strategically treating the platysma, DAO, and mentalis with Botox, we can reduce some of that downward muscular pull and create a more balanced appearance through the lower face and neck.

Because these muscles sit close to other muscles responsible for facial expression, precision matters. At N2 Aesthetics, we use ultrasound when treating the lower face to better identify individual anatomy and isolate muscles like the DAO before injecting.

This is why understanding anatomy is absolutely integral. How the muscles of the face work together can completely change the way we approach a patient’s treatment plan.
