Retention Problems? My Lash Shampoo Can Help 🫧
I spent way too long blaming my glue. 👀
When a client came back after 10 days with half her set gone, my first thought was always the adhesive. Humidity? Storage? Bad batch? I checked everything.
Meanwhile, the much less exciting culprit was sitting right on the lash line: buildup.
I could tell clients to clean their lashes until I was blue in the face, but “make sure you buy a lash shampoo” wasn’t exactly producing miracles. 😅
What worked much better? Putting the cleanser directly in their hands before they left.
No extra shopping. No wondering which cleanser to buy. No accidentally using something that isn’t suitable for extensions. They already had what they needed at home.
And from a business standpoint, it just makes sense. Instead of giving another aftercare lecture for free, you’re adding a retail product to the appointment and keeping a real margin on it.
Now, obviously, I make a lash shampoo. 😂 Mine is $18.95 on Amazon, and lash professionals can also create a business client profile to get volume discounts on 6, 12 or 24 units.
But you genuinely don’t have to buy mine.
I’d much rather see lash techs send their clients home with a proper lash shampoo than send them home with nothing and hope they figure it out. Any good lash-compatible cleanser is better than no cleansing at all, or using a random facial cleanser around extensions.
