A new study found major gaps in knowledge and confidence among medical and nurse practitioner trainees. Nearly 70% reported learning very little or nothing about chronic pelvic pain, while average confidence in treatment was just 27.6%.
Encouragingly, 92.8% wanted more education, highlighting the need for stronger training in diagnosis, treatment, and pain mechanisms.
Better education can lead to better care for patients with pelvic pain and endometriosis.
