Just finished reading an enthralling, black family-legacy story, Good Dirt, and wanted to share it with you especially because the author noted that she was inspired by All That She Carried: The Journey of Ashley’s Sack, a Black Family Keepsake by Tiya Miles. Souen has been a popular source for Macrobiotic style plant-based cuisine for many years. Today I treated myself to Hayato Soup which is a large, hearty fresh vegetable soup with a miso broth — full of the satisfying flavors and textures of broccoli, kale, snow peas, carrots, tofu, wakame, shiitake mushrooms and pumpkin squash! It tasted divine! Souen is yet another reason to explore the world of delicious eateries in the East Village!

Joy is a healthy vegan meal at Caravan of Dreams vegan restaurant in the East Village, NYC. I feasted on their delicious Raw Nori Rolls served with a salad. Plus I had an organic detox juice! This a must for vegans!

It includes broccoli, kale, celery, tofu, mushrooms, carrots, scallions, garlic and miso paste with cooked chickpea thin spaghetti added to the soup at the end! ❤️You can use any plantbased pasta or protein you like!
