This embryo broke all the rules.

When embryologists check fertilization, we’re hoping to see 2 pronuclei (2PN): one from the egg and one from the s***m.

But sometimes we see 3PN… or even just 1PN.

For years, these embryos were considered abnormal and often discarded.

Then genetics taught us something surprising.

Some 3PN embryos—and even more frequently 1PN embryos—can develop into beautiful, chromosomally normal blastocysts.

Far fewer know whether their stimulation was actually optimal.

If your embryo didn’t implant, please read this.

One of the biggest misconceptions in IVF is that implantation success depends on something you did—or didn’t do—after transfer.

The truth?

Most failed implantations have nothing to do with whether you walked too much, climbed stairs, forgot the pineapple, or skipped acupuncture.

Embryo transfer is typically a quick and painless procedure. The real challenge is whether the embryo has the biological capacity to continue developing.

Even PGT-A tested embryos fail to implant 30-40% of the time.

Why?

Because PGT-A is an excellent screening tool—but it cannot assess every aspect of embryo health and development.

Electronic witnessing doesn’t replace embryologists.
It doesn’t replace protocols.
It doesn’t replace human oversight.

I know this might get some hate…and that’s okay.

The truth is, we’ve been told for so long that infertility is our fault that we’ve started to believe we can “fix” it.

That mindset is toxic.

Because the reality is: with very few exceptions, we have very limited control over our eggs. They are on their own timeline, their own biology.

Should we take care of ourselves? Of course.
For our physical and emotional well-being, always.

But the idea that we can control fertility through diets, detoxes, and endless supplements?

That’s not science.

And realizing there’s an entire industry profiting off the hope of women who just want a child… is hard to ignore.
