Some births don’t go according to the original plan, and sometimes that’s exactly how they’re meant to go!

This mama trusted her intuition and made the brave decision to change birth locations at the last minute (5 days before her induction) in pursuit of the experience she knew was right for her and her baby. Throughout labor, she advocated beautifully for her needs, stayed grounded in her choices, and met each twist and turn with incredible strength. No first time mom imagines her water breaking at just 1cm, but her delivery was a truly empowering and positive birth experience.

I travelled pretty far for this birth, and I’m so glad I did. Witnessing this mama walk into motherhood with so much grace, and never losing sight of the Lord, was such a blessing to me. Happy birthday, baby boy! 💙 You are so loved!

We spent the last few days in the garden getting dirt under our fingernails and a nice sunburn. 🥕🪏👩‍🌾🫜🪴 This weather is BEAUTIFUL and I’ll be taking advantage of it!

Happy International Day of the Midwife to my favorite midwife and friend ♥️ she’s been with me during some of the best and worst moments of my life, and now I have the honor of working alongside her (although our roles are very different). Hillary, you are an inspiration to me, and I’ll be forever grateful for you. You are exactly where God called you to be.

After a long induction with lots of twists and turns, the Lord brought this sweet baby boy safely into his mama’s arms this morning. What felt uncertain along the way turned into a beautiful delivery. Happy birthday, little one 💙
