That night changed the way I understood life, fear, and what it means to feel completely alone.
I went from being told to go home and rest to collapsing hours later, barely able to breathe, and ending up in the ICU during a time when the people I loved couldn’t simply sit beside me.
There are pieces of that experience I still don’t remember.
But I remember the fear.
I remember the loneliness.
And I remember how quickly everything I thought mattered suddenly became very small.
Some experiences don’t just become part of your story. They change the way you see yourself, your body, your relationships, and the life you still get to live.
This was one of mine. 🤍
