A friend reached out inquiring if MFR aka Myofascial release, treats neuropathy so I thought it a good time to provide information on the topic.
The answer is yes . . . Whether the neuropathy is caused by Diabetes I or II which is the pancreas ceasing to produce insulin which is believed to be caused by the genes or environmental factors aka toxins in the case of DM I. Yes In DM II which is believed to be caused by being overweight and/or lack of activity.
There are approximately 10 causes of neuropathy:
Diabetes I and II
B12 deficiency
chemotherapy
Toxins: pesticides, insecticides,
Mercury , lead, recreational
drugs
Cancer
Injuries: trauma
Infection: Lyme, HIV, shingles
Kidney disease
Inflammatory disease
Idiopathic = unknown
No matter the cause, Myofascial release is a new lease on life and incorporating treatment, self treatment and an active lifestyle yields continued overall health and improved immunity which is a process over time.
MFR releases connective tissue tension surrounding the spinal nerves and arteries as well as adhesions elsewhere in the body that decrease tension of the entire body glove structure. This can in effect improve function of those nerves and arteries that feed the organs and extremities such as the pancreas, the intestines where nutrients are absorbed and hormones produced, thereby allowing increased nutrient absorption and hormone production.
MFR can improve vagus nerve function that affects the diaphragm aka breathing muscle, which can regulate blood sugar levels, heart rate, anxiety and depression.
MFR can decrease and eliminate side effects of chemotherapy such as fatigue, diarrhea, constipation and improve motility of the organs, releasing toxins from the body.
MFR can improve nerve and muscle function caused by inflammatory conditions whether it be disease, illness, virus or bacteria and injury by increasing energy and blood flow as well as nutrient and hormones by rehydrating adhesions and restrictions, improving lymphatic flow and immune responses.
The body may be complex but the simplicity of Myofascial work assists with just about everything when it comes to healing the body.
I hope this helps and look forward to hearing from you or having you share my post as it may just change someone’s life that may be suffering from this painful and at times debilitating condition!🙏🥰
