Can Botox be reversed if you do not like the result?

There is no instant undo for an established cosmetic Botox effect. Its effect gradually wears off, but that is different from being able to reverse it on demand.

Botox and hyaluronic acid filler work differently. A medical professional may dissolve certain HA fillers, but that process does not reverse Botox. It also does not apply to every type of filler.

Results develop over time, so agree on a review plan with your provider. If you are unhappy or notice a change that concerns you, contact the professional who treated you. You do not need to wait for a scheduled review to ask for help. An assessment can clarify your options without promising a quick fix.

After treatment, avoid direct sun on the treated area and follow your provider's aftercare instructions. Use broad-spectrum, water-resistant SPF 30+ as part of sun protection. Sunscreen is not a substitute for keeping recently treated skin out of direct sunlight.

The timing of your next session and your return to sun exposure should be discussed with your provider, taking your skin, treatment area and itinerary into account.
