Facial balancing can completely change the way the lower face looks — not by making someone look different, but by softening the features that can unintentionally make the face appear heavier, tense, or more masculine over time.

For this patient, one of the biggest transformations came from treating the masseters. Overdeveloped masseter muscles can create a wider, more square-shaped lower face. By slimming and relaxing that area, we were able to create a softer, more tapered shape that instantly made the face look more feminine and balanced.

We also focused on the chin and lower face itself — specifically the shadows, dimpling, and loss of smoothness that can make the lower face appear heavier or more tired. Small changes in this area can make a massive difference in overall harmony and profile balance.

And then there’s Sculptra — one of our favorite treatments for overall facial rejuvenation and skin quality. While the contouring changes helped reshape and balance the lower face, Sculptra worked more globally by stimulating the body’s own collagen over time.
