For communicators, pushing back publicly against unfavorable coverage can unintentionally give it a much larger audience.

💡 The takeaway? Before responding to media or social coverage you dislike, consider whether your response could amplify the very message you want to correct.

The most reliable way to draw more attention to bad media coverage is to complain about it publicly.
