The 2026 MAG House of Delegates begins tomorrow in Savannah, bringing together physicians from across Georgia to debate and vote on resolutions that will shape medical policy and advocacy priorities for the coming year.

Join GCCMS at the Medical Association of Georgia’s House of Delegates.

The MAG House of Delegates Meeting will be held on Friday, October 16, through Sunday, October 18, in Savannah.

Participants may arrive Friday afternoon at their convenience.

The first 40 GCCMS members to register may receive a $1,000 reimbursement by attending and participating on Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18.

The discounted hotel rate ends Tuesday, September 22, so be sure to register and reserve your accommodations soon.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on September 1 for the 2026 Annual Joint Meeting with the Medical Association of Atlanta.

We were honored to hear from Dr. Alyson Smith, Managing Medical Director at Delta Air Lines, who spoke on resilience through a healthcare lens. Joining Delta during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Smith helped guide decisions affecting more than 100,000 employees and 80,000 family members as the airline worked to keep passengers, employees, and their families safe.

She concluded with an important reminder about burnout, encouraging attendees to watch for the "Tired Champion" and find a sense of belonging and purpose in their work.

Thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Proctor, GCCMS President, Joanne Thurston, GCCMS Executive Director, and Dawn Plested, Executive Director and CEO of the Medical Association of Atlanta, for helping make the evening a success.
