Hear what one of the KIDS Curriculum Steering Committee members (Meghan) said about the first lesson of our"Understanding Clinical Trials!" curriculum.

Created with Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center), this curriculum's goal is to make education about clinical trials more accessible.

Thank you to MRCT Center Advisors (Sylvia Baedorf Kassis, MPH, CYT and Kayleigh To) and KIDS Curriculum Steering Committee members (Anvita Ambardekar, Joseph Haddad, and Meghan Wike).

Happy Early Birthday to iCAN's incredible President, Leanne Little West! We can't think of a better person to helm iCAN. Leanne's passion for empowering pediatrics is evident in her tireless efforts to make sure that kids' voices are heard around the world.

In her own words, "Our amazing youth make a difference throughout all facets of pediatric healthcare and research. And they do it to take back control of a diagnosis that has had control of their their childhood. They also do it to help the next kid who comes along. Kids are amazing if we give them a chance!"

For her birthday this year she is asking for donations to help get iCAN's kids where they need to be to have their voice heard. Every dollar is in honor of her mom, Carolyn Little-Baker, and goes towards bringing a child to iCAN's 2026 Summit.

"iCAN Stories: Leo"

How iCAN makes a difference in young people lives - from the youth members themselves! Leo from KIDS Walter Payton shares his perspective on the iCAN impact.

"iCAN has been a big part of what made me interested in public health and biology, and I am really grateful for the support I have received through my involvement. Being part of iCAN has meant a lot to me, and I appreciate everything you do for the students involved!"

Leo is an iCAN youth member who has truly changed iCAN for the better through his incredible involvement and spirit! We are so proud that he will be attending the University of Michigan post high school, and we cannot wait to see the incredible things he does! Congratulations from all of iCAN!

As we close the final page on the 2025 chapter, the whole iCAN Family extends a warm thank you to our sponsors for your support this past year. Due to your incredible generosity, iCAN young people have shared their insights, told their stories to hundreds of people, and been empowered across the globe.

This video contains special messages from our iCAN young people to our wonderful sponsors. Truly, without your dedication to uplifting the youth voice, iCAN would not be able to accomplish all that we do. Thank you for giving back to these amazing kids. We can't wait to build on the accomplishments of this year in 2026!

This year was full of youth empowerment and kid-driven change. As the year comes to a close, we are so thankful to our iCAN family: our chapter leaders, sponsors, community partners, advisory and board members, and our kids. Your courage, passionate spirits, and loud voices changed the pediatric landscape for the better!

Over the course of 12 months, because of you, we were able to host iCAN’s 11th Summit in Montreal with young people from over 11 countries, welcomed 10 wonderful “Ask the Experts” speakers, raised over $100,000 towards our 2026 Summit, and gave kids a voice in healthcare with over 30 engagements completed with industry and regulatory friends from around the world.

We know that just one voice can make a difference, and your voices came together in a cacophony of spirit and progress. Youth voices truly matter and make an impact - you demonstrated that to the world!

As we look ahead to 2026 and beyond, we are as excited as we are determined to continue to move the needle to pediatric patient-centricity! It is with the love and strength of our community that we wish you happy Holidays from iCAN!

With love,
The iCAN Team
