🦷 What if TMJ isn’t really a jaw problem?

At a dental continuing education event this week, I had the chance to show dentists something they don’t always get to see in training:

How posture, cranial bone tension, and the nervous system can drive jaw pain, headaches, and stubborn TMJ symptoms.

Many patients receive night guards or orthotics — which can be incredibly helpful — but some still continue to struggle.

Often the missing piece isn’t inside the mouth.

It’s the neck.
The sphenoid.
The cranial nerves.
The nervous system.

During the evening we explored:
• Posture assessments that reveal hidden jaw stress
• Gentle techniques to release sphenoid tension
• Simple cranial nerve stimulation to calm an overactive nervous system

The body is beautifully interconnected. When we address the whole system, things that seemed stuck often begin to change.

I love partnering with dentists who want another avenue to help their patients — and protect their own bodies in a profession that asks a lot physically.

✨ Because sometimes the key to relieving jaw pain…
isn’t the jaw at all.
