🥩 If you’re buying meat at Target, you want ButcherBox.

Here’s what actually matters:

🟢 ButcherBox: 100% grass-fed beef, no added hormones, no antibiotics, and no artificial ingredients.

❌ “All natural” doesn’t mean anything. It doesn’t tell you that the animal was grass-fed, pasture-raised, or raised without antibiotics.

❌ A lot of conventional beef comes from cattle that spend part of their lives in CAFO/feedlot systems, where they’re raised in much more confined conditions and typically finished on grain. This means less nutritious meat, and is poor for our environment.

❌ Antibiotics and hormones matter. Conventional beef can be produced with antibiotics and added hormones. ButcherBox’s beef is raised without added hormones and without antibiotics.

And to be clear: I’m not demonizing meat. Meat is nutrient-dense and can absolutely be part of a healthy diet. The point is that how the animal was raised does matter, and labels like “all natural” don’t tell you nearly as much as you may think.

If I’m standing in Target and have the choice, I’m looking at the actual production standards, not just the marketing on the package.

There are a million and one apps now - this is the most accurate scanning app that flags toxic, hidden ingredients, gives healthy alternatives, and spans from groceries, to cosmetics to home goods.

Trader Joe's is like any grocery store - some products are good, some not so much. Most of their frozen and pre-packaged / processed foods are awful.

They source nonsense from PepsiCo, stick a cute label on it, and people think it's automatically healthy. It's not.
