On September 1st, the US opens the border to 660+ million pounds of tariff-free imported ground beef. The government won't name the source countries. Argentina is a rumored supplier.
In March, Chinese customs blocked nearly 50,000 pounds of Argentine beef after lab tests detected chloramphenicol, an antibiotic banned in US food animals. It is linked to cancer.
The US has no mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef. It can be foreign-raised and you'll never know. People are unsure what to trust.

100% of Kirkland Signature beef is not sourced from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, or Paraguay.
