I align myself with brands who create the best products for our health - that’s why you probably haven’t heard of them - they spend their money on intentionally sourcing the highest quality ingredients and formulating the most effective products.

Other brands (like those shown) spend their money on marketing.

When you buy products like LMNT, Liquid IV, Bloom, GRÜNS, Drip Drop, AG1, or most other supplements, you pay for well marketed scams that won’t help you or your body.

Supplements are one category you should stop buying at grocery stores, Target, Costco, etc.

Most of the time it's a mystery what you're getting.

If you are serious, you need to look at dosages, heavy metals and contaminant testing, and transparency. The industry is so scammy.

When a brand like LMNT has GMO maltodextrin in their product, but hides it from you, they no longer deserve your business.

They recently got caught hiding 400mg of GMO maltodextrin in their electrolytes, but it’s not even on the label. That’s more than the magnesium + potassium combined.

Other products like Drip Drop, Liquid IV, and influencer sponsored or created brands, are similar - bad salt sourcing, refined sugars, shady flavors, GMOs. Waste of your money.

Health influencers lie to for your money.

GRÜNS is a glorified fruit snack full of synthetics and sugar. Bloom has too many ingredients, and not in dosages proven to help you.

Good luck trying to find testing and contaminant info from these brands also.

There’s so many nuances with groceries, I took all the guesswork out of it for you.

Being sold refined avocado oil and no one batting an eye is ridiculous.

When people talk about shopping for the right olive oil for example, they always tell you to get EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil, and avoid refined olive oil.

The same needs to be said for av oil.

Most avocado oil on shelves is refined - it can be heated, deodorized, bleached, and stripped of its nutrients.

What’s left? A neutral-tasting oil that’s often oxidized and sometimes cut with cheap fillers.

If it’s not cold-pressed and unrefined, I'm not using it. As far as Chosen Foods, they call their refining process “natural”, which it may be. They claim to not use high heat or harsh chemicals.

But to say it retains its nutrients intact is a question mark. It’s at best a neutral product that is better than cooking with seed oils, but I would use something else.

I mostly use olive oil. And when choosing olive oil, you need the right olive oil, because that industry is a mess too.

ECOS is not quite as bad as others shown, but not great. Their free and clear would be better, but not best.

Avoid these ingredients:

Conventional laundry is ultra toxic. I don’t think people quite understand how the products you use in your home, can greatly affect your toxic burden and health. Look up the lung study.

You don’t want to be that person trying to do the right things, but dropping the ball on easy swaps that cost you nothing.

Most detergents can cause leaky gut; almost all have carcinogens, harmful fragrance, and endocrine disruptors.

Thankfully you have healthy alternatives, and can swap for a nontoxic option that works AND saves you money.

Look up the lung study.

You spray this stuff all over your house, and you're breathing it in at every angle - your body was not designed to break down all these chemicals in today's world.

EVERY egg at the grocery store comes from hens fed corn and soy, unless otherwise stated.

Pasture raised simply refers to how the hens were raised - not their feed.

If this is news to you, and you've been thinking or promoting otherwise - that's on you, not Vital Farms.

There's no greenwashing - their website spells everything out. And their eggs (and any egg) is still healthier than what 95% of Americans eat.

Any influencer pushing a different narrative is farming for clout and views.

Further, this info came from one test? By their competitors? Where are the results? I've seen other testing where Vital Farms eggs were one of the lowest in Omega 6 of any egg tested.

Comparing any egg to canola oil is pure clickbait. Canola oil is calorically dense, has no nutrition, can be laced glyphosate, and is ultra processed. Eggs are still rich in micronutrients, vitamins and a complete source of protein... regardless of what they're fed.

Every time another influencer pretends they solved some huge case because "the butter comes from cows fed corn and soy" or "the hens are fed corn and soy", they're not telling us anything NEW. We've know this for years.

This occurs because these are the crops subsidized by the government.

Ideal for the optimization of the egg's nutrition? No. A major problem? I wouldn't spend my energy on it.

Most people cannot have their own chickens or go to a local farm every week... and ANY egg is still great nutrition.
