One of the benefits of living in a community like Marion is having access to advanced rehabilitation services close to home. We're proud to offer Dry Needling right here through the St. Luke Hospital's Rehabilitation Therapy Department.
Whether it's tending your garden, working around the house, playing golf or keeping up with your kids and grandkids, persistent muscle tightness and pain can make everyday activities more challenging.

From a child's first words to helping adults regain speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive skills, speech-language pathologists play a vital role in helping individuals connect with the world around them.
This month, we've celebrated the importance of communication, raised awareness about speech and hearing challenges, and highlighted the dedicated professionals who help people find their voice and thrive. We are especially grateful for our speech therapy team and the difference they make every day through their expertise, compassion, and commitment to lifelong communication health.

May is Better Speech-Language-Hearing Month! 💙
This month, we are proud to recognize the powerful role speech-language therapy plays across the entire lifespan — from infant feeding and early communication to swallowing, cognition, voice, and speech support for adults and older adults.
We are especially grateful for our dedicated speech therapist, Veronica, whose compassionate care and specialized training make a meaningful difference for patients and families every day. As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and provider certified in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT), she brings a unique whole-person approach to care, helping patients of all ages thrive through improved communication, feeding, swallowing, and overall function.

Pulmonary Rehab Spotlight

Hi, My name is Keith. I attended Pulmonary Rehabilitation at the recommendation of my Pulmonologist.

The pulmonary rehab program's physical exercises really helped my core, lower body and upper body muscle strength. In turn, my body posture is better which has helped my breath while walking. I also learned diaphragm breathing with allows me to get maximum oxygen into my lungs.

Chris made the sessions fun and educational by challenging me with different exercises. I would recommend her program for anyone with shortness of breath issues.

If there’s ever a question, Katie is already two steps ahead, finding the answer and helping the rest of us stay on track. She’s dependable, easy-going, and incredibly flexible, which makes even the busiest days feel manageable.

Around here, we also like to call her our Schedule Goddess and the true Keeper of the Calendar. With her meticulous attention to detail and her versatile ability to juggle a hundred moving parts, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
