This month, we’re focusing on men’s mental health—because “I’m fine” isn’t always the full story.

Depression feels like an invisible weight that’s draining your energy and motivation. If your internal battery is dead, you need a jump-start. Start small: clean something – anything! Wash a dish or put some laundry away. You’ll regain a motivating sense of purpose one small step at a time.

Sleep deprivation is real, but safe sleep still has to come first. Here are simple ways to protect your baby, even when you’re exhausted:

💤 Always place your baby on their back for every sleep
🛏 Use a firm, flat sleep surface with no pillows, blankets, or toys
🤍 Room share, don’t bed share, keep baby close but in their own space
⏰ If you feel yourself dozing while feeding, move to a safer spot like an empty bed and set an alarm
👶 Swaddle only until signs of rolling, then switch to a sleep sack

It’s okay to be tired, build safe habits that work even on your hardest nights. For more safe sleep tips visit https://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/baby/sleep/Pages/safe-sleep-tips-for-sleep-deprived-parents.aspx

It’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Time to check in on your brain like you would your truck (or at least your fantasy team).

Loneliness isn’t just a hollow, disconnected feeling – it impacts your health. Men aren't meant to be lone wolves. The Hack? Connect through shared action. Sign up for a class, call an old friend, or ask someone to help you move some furniture or fix a gutter. Even small ways to connect will make a difference.
