💜 Overdose Awareness Day | August 31st 💜
Today, our clients and staff dedicated group to remembering, honoring, and bringing compassion to the lives touched by overdose and addiction.
Together, we created space to process memories, share gratitude, break stigma, and honor those we have lost. Clients and staff added purple ribbons to our reflection wall — each ribbon representing a life, a story, a relationship, and a reminder that every person matters.
Today wasn't just about loss. It was also about connection, hope, recovery, and choosing to keep talking.
Addiction is not a moral failing. Overdose does not erase a person's worth or the impact they had on the people around them. Behind every statistic is a human being who was loved, who mattered, and whose story deserves to be remembered.
💜 We remember.
💜 We honor.
💜 We speak openly.
💜 We break the stigma.
💜 We carry their stories forward.
To everyone grieving a loss, navigating recovery, or supporting someone they love: you are not alone.
