Scrolling can leave us feeling behind before we’ve even started our day.

That’s not a personal failing, it’s just how comparison culture affects us.

Here’s an important reminder: The feed shows highlights. Real life is the whole story, and the whole story includes the parts that never make it online, the mundane moments, the sad moments, the embarrassing moments and everything in between. No one is perfect and no one has a perfect life. We all have struggles and things we’d rather not share.

If you’ve noticed social media affecting your mood, you’re not alone.

A few gentle places to start: set time limits, unfollow what doesn’t feel good, and give yourself permission to step away.

You don’t have to ditch socials completely, just start noticing how you feel and take breaks as needed.

That voice in your head that never gives you a break isn’t telling you the truth. It magnifies the
things you dislike about yourself, even when there’s nothing to fix.

This month we’re exploring how self-compassion (not self-criticism) is the healthier move towards building lasting change.

Swipe through, and tell us: what does your inner critic sound like?

That urge to say yes when you want to say no? It’s often anxiety from fear of disappointing
someone, or fear of being disliked. Either way, the line between your feelings and someone
else’s can get blurry fast. Boundaries help you find that line again.

This month, we’re practicing one small “no” at a time. 💛

That sense of safety, of being truly seen and accepted, is one of the most powerful things for your mental health.

Feelings of belonging and authentic connection are protective factors against anxiety, depression, and isolation. For the LGBTQ+ community especially, having affirming spaces where you can show up fully as yourself makes a profound difference.

This Pride Month, we celebrate every person who has found their people. And we see you if you’re still looking.

At Nurture Psychiatry, everyone is welcome. Always.

Happy Pride Month

This is a month of visibility, joy, and the reminder that every person deserves to feel seen, safe, and celebrated exactly as they are.

At Nurture Psychiatry, we believe that mental wellness begins with belonging. We are proud to be a practice where every patient walks in feeling welcome, respected, and cared for without condition.

To our LGBTQ+ patients, families, and community — We see you, we celebrate you, and we’re honored to be part of your care.

You don’t have to be in crisis to need help.

Many people struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, or ADHD look like they’re “doing great” from the outside.

If you’ve been powering through for a long time, support can make life feel lighter.

You deserve help whenever you’re ready.

Your nervous system loves nature — even in small doses.
In honor of Earth Day, we’re inviting you to reconnect with the outside world this week — just a few minutes a day. No pressure, no timer, no “right way.” Just you and a little sky.
7 days. Your pace, your way.
Save this and follow our stories for a daily reminder all week. Drop a note or a 🌿 in thecomments if you’re in.
