Medical Billing & Coding Specialist
Marquette Medical is seeking a full-time, detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to join our growing healthcare team. This position is responsible for accurate coding, claim submission, payment posting, denial management, insurance follow-up, and revenue cycle support for our outpatient clinical services.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in outpatient medical billing and coding, strong knowledge of insurance regulations and reimbursement methodologies, and a commitment to supporting high-quality patient care through efficient revenue cycle management.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in outpatient medical billing and coding
Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
Experience working with commercial insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers' compensation claims
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification
Experience in urgent care, family medicine, primary care, or specialty outpatient settings
Experience with denial management and revenue cycle optimization
Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EHR systems
Compensation & Benefits
Starting wage: $25 per hour
Compensation may be adjusted based on experience, credentials, and qualifications
