Today is International Clinical Trials Day …a reminder that clinical research changes lives, advances medicine, and creates hope for future generations.

We must continue removing the stigma surrounding clinical trials, especially within Black and Brown communities where mistrust, lack of representation, and limited access have historically existed. Representation in research matters because treatments should be studied in ALL populations they are meant to serve.

Clinical trials are not about being a “guinea pig.” They are about innovation, access to emerging treatments, improving healthcare outcomes, and ensuring our communities have a voice in the future of medicine.

Education, transparency, and trust are key. The more informed we are, the more empowered we become to make decisions about our health and advocate for equitable healthcare for everyone.

As parents, we all wonder… “Are they getting enough rest?” 🤔

The truth is, sleep needs change as kids grow, but there are science-based guidelines to help make sure your child is getting what they need to grow, learn, and thrive 💡

🛌 Recommended Sleep (per 24 hours)
Infants (4–12 months): 12–16 hours
Toddlers (1–2 years): 11–14 hours
Preschool (3–5 years): 10–13 hours
School-age (6–12 years): 9–12 hours
Teens (13–18 years): 8–10 hours
(Yes—naps count too!)
