Quality EMS would like to extend a huge thank you to AHN Prehospital Services for their generous donation of two advanced airway simulation mannequins to support our crews’ ongoing training and commitment to providing excellent patient care.

These mannequins are not inexpensive pieces of equipment, and this donation represents a significant investment in the continued education and development of our EMS providers. They will play a vital role in allowing our crews to practice advanced airway skills in a realistic environment, ensuring that when you call 911, the team arriving at your door is ready, capable, and well trained to provide the care you need.

Training doesn't stop when someone becomes a paramedic or EMT. Maintaining proficiency, practicing high-acuity skills, and challenging ourselves to continually improve are essential parts of delivering exceptional prehospital care.

We are incredibly grateful for AHN’s continued dedication to EMS. Their support extends far beyond Quality EMS, as they work with and support numerous EMS agencies throughout our region. NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, we still remember where we were when the world changed.

On September 11, 2001, our nation witnessed unimaginable tragedy. But in the midst of fear, confusion, and heartbreak, we also witnessed extraordinary courage.

Firefighters ran into burning buildings. Police officers moved toward danger to protect others. Paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, doctors, nurses, and countless civilians answered the call without knowing what the next moment would bring.

They didn’t stop to ask who needed help.
They didn’t stop to think about themselves.
They simply ran toward the danger while others were running away.

Hundreds of first responders made the ultimate sacrifice that day. Many others survived, but carried the physical and emotional scars of September 11th long after the buildings came down. Their stories remind us that the cost of service can continue long after the sirens stop.

September 11th changed America. For a time, the divisions that so often separated us seemed to disappear. We stood together. We checked on our neighbors. We displayed our flags with pride. We hugged our families a little tighter. And we gained an even deeper appreciation for the men and women willing to put their lives on the line for complete strangers.

For those of us who serve in EMS and public safety, September 11th carries an especially profound meaning. It reminds us of the oath we live by: when others need help, we go.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost.
We honor the first responders who gave everything.
We remember those who continue to suffer from the wounds of that day.
And we honor the families who have carried their loss for 25 years.

May we never forget their names.
May we never forget their sacrifice.
May we never forget the courage they showed.

And may we never forget what we learned on that day:

We are stronger when we stand together.

Last evening, Quality EMS had the privilege of spending time with the congregation at Mars United Presbyterian Church for an AED, First Aid & CPR training!

We love opportunities like this—not just because we get to teach lifesaving skills, but because we get to connect with the people and organizations that make our community so special. Community service is at the heart of what we do, and helping others feel confident and prepared for an emergency is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.

We also want to recognize the congregation at Mars United Presbyterian Church for being proactive about emergency preparedness. Taking the time to learn CPR, First Aid, and how to use an AED means they are better equipped to respond during those critical minutes before EMS arrives.

🚨 You never know when a medical emergency will happen. But knowing what to do when it does can make all the difference.
