Why I Started BU4U ❤️

I believe God made me this way for a reason.

But I also know that my life experiences taught me to notice things other people might overlook.

I’ve seen what happens when people face barriers to living independently. I’ve seen loneliness, isolation, lack of advocacy, and the feeling of being unseen affect people I love—and I’ve experienced some of those feelings myself.

So when I see a need, I have a hard time walking past it.

That’s part of the reason I founded BU4U in 2020.

BU4U was built around a simple belief:

People should have the opportunity to live as independently as possible, in the place they call home, even when life makes that difficult.

Sometimes independence looks like having someone there to help with everyday tasks.

Sometimes it means having an advocate who listens.

Sometimes it means giving a family caregiver a little breathing room.

And sometimes it’s simply knowing that someone sees you, respects you, and believes you still have something valuable to contribute.

I’ve been given experiences.
I’ve learned from them.
And I’m trying to use what I’ve learned to make somebody else’s life a little easier, a little safer, and maybe a little less lonely.

That is the heart behind BU4U.

Not just caregiving.

Helping people stay connected to their homes, their choices, their dignity, and their lives.

Maybe that’s part of why I was made the way I was.

And maybe that’s exactly what BU4U was meant to become. ❤️

BU4U LLC — Built Out of Grace 👑

BU4U LLC was never built from a perfect plan.
It was built from a calling.

Built out of the moments when life didn’t make sense… but compassion did.
Built out of the belief that people deserve to be cared for, seen, heard, and valued.
Built out of late nights, hard conversations, unexpected challenges, and a whole lot of faith.

There were seasons where the weight felt heavy. Seasons where the path wasn’t clear. But grace has a way of showing up — sometimes through people, sometimes through opportunities, and sometimes through the strength we didn’t know we had.

What started as a vision became a team.
What started as a dream became a mission.
What started as caring for a few became a community of caregivers, clients, families, and connections.

BU4U LLC was built because everyone deserves someone in their corner. ❤️

And maybe the greatest reminder is this:
We don’t build meaningful things alone.
We build them through grace, purpose, and the people who walk alongside us.

💚 What a joyful week. 💚

As we wrap up our Roots & Rain: Growing Through Grace journey, our hearts are full of gratitude.

This week reminded us that growth doesn't always happen in big, dramatic moments. Sometimes growth looks like showing up. Sharing a meal. Trying something new. Offering a smile. Listening to a friend. Finding joy in the middle of an ordinary day.

Through laughter, conversation, creativity, and connection, we watched roots grow a little deeper and spirits shine a little brighter. We saw courage. We saw kindness. We saw community.

To every participant, volunteer, supporter, and friend who helps make Joy Services possible—thank you. Thank you for creating a place where people feel welcomed, valued, and connected.

We're grateful for every person who joined us on this journey. As one chapter closes, we look forward to the next theme, the next adventure, and the next opportunity to grow together.

The sunshine helps us bloom, but sometimes it's the rain that helps us grow.

May you head into the weekend knowing you matter, you belong, and your presence makes a difference.
