A little car confession today.

I’m usually the one encouraging everyone else to slow down, take care of themselves, and ask for help when they need it.

This week, I needed that reminder too.

I was overwhelmed, emotional, exhausted—and the people around me noticed. They checked in, reached out, and helped carry some of the weight.

So this is your reminder, especially if you’re usually the strong one:

You don’t have to hold everything by yourself.

Ask for help. Take the pause. Let your people show up for you.

Strong people need support, too.

And to the people who showed up for me this week—thank you. 🤍

This is what my day usually looks like between patients — an iced drink and whatever I’m currently deep in.

Here’s where most of what learning happens — not glamorous, just reading.
Labs, hormones, metabolism, whatever the next thing is. I’d rather know the answer than guess at it.

That’s the part you don’t see, and it’s the part that matters.

You’ve been meaning to do something about your skin since June.

But it was never the right time. You didn’t want to peel at the lake, in the family photos or the week of something important.

Now summer plans are winding down, the kids are back in school and the holidays are still far enough away.

This is your window.

For a limited time, purchase 25+ units of tox and get a VI Peel for $199—regularly $349.

Tox softens the lines created by movement while the VI Peel targets the pigment, uneven tone and texture summer left behind.

And you don’t have to peel right now.

Purchase by September 7 and schedule your treatment anytime through December 31.

Message RESET to purchase yours.

Tox is priced separately. VI Peel clinical photo. Individual results vary.

Robot phlebotomists? 🤔 🤔 🤔

https://www.facebook.com/share/1CbMZC6dEb/?mibextid=wwXIfr

The FDA just approved a robot that draws blood, ending the need for phlebotomists.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted De Novo authorization to Aletta, the first-of-its-kind standalone robotic device capable of autonomously drawing blood from a patient’s arm without hands-on operator intervention.

Developed by Dutch medical robotics company Vitestro, the system uses near-infrared light and Doppler ultrasound to locate suitable veins and distinguish them from arteries.

Once a vein is identified, Aletta manages the entire procedure independently—applying a tourniquet, preparing the skin, inserting the needle, swapping collection tubes, and placing a bandage.

This technology arrives at a critical moment as the U.S. healthcare system grapples with a severe shortage of trained phlebotomists. While the robot performs the physical blood draw, human expertise remains vital; a single trained phlebotomist can supervise up to three Aletta devices at once in outpatient settings, confirming the correct tube sequence and monitoring safety. During clinical trials, the device achieved a 94.5% first-stick success rate, proving comparable to or better than human operators, even when handling complex cases like elderly patients or those with hard-to-access veins.

Confession: the first day of school feels more like New Year’s Day to me than January 1st. 🎒

Summer is fun, but routines get loose. Bedtimes shift, meals become less predictable, and taking care of ourselves somehow slides to the bottom of the list.

Today feels like a reset—but I’m not setting some huge, unrealistic goal. I’m simply returning to the basics: more consistent sleep, actual meals, regular movement and a little more structure.

You don’t always need a complete overhaul to feel better. Sometimes you just need to return to the things that help you feel like yourself.

Does anyone else feel like the first day of school is the real start of a new year?

Some health truths are uncomfortable because two things can be true at once.

Exercise matters. So does what you eat.

Calories matter. So does food quality.

Medication can be life-changing. It still may not address every influence on your health.

A good clinician matters. So does what happens between visits.

Health is rarely one symptom, one number, one medication or one perfect habit. It’s the full picture—and the patterns built over time.

Which one did you need to hear today? 🤍

Save this for later or share it with someone who needs it.

Is your neurotoxin wearing off faster since starting a GLP-1?

A new study suggests medications like semaglutide and tirzepatide may shorten the longevity of Botox, Jeuveau and Dysport—possibly by a few weeks.

But here’s the part social media may leave out:

This was a computational modeling study, not a clinical trial involving actual aesthetic patients. It raises an interesting possibility, but it does not prove that GLP-1 medications make neurotoxin wear off faster.

There is also no established safety concern or reason you cannot receive neurotoxin while taking a GLP-1.

For now, I’m not automatically increasing doses or shortening treatment intervals. I’m tracking each patient’s response—including when movement returns—and adjusting based on what actually happens in their face.

Interesting? Absolutely.

Proven? Not yet.

More hair in the shower. A widening part. A ponytail that suddenly feels smaller.

Before buying another supplement or trying another serum, start by finding out why it’s happening.

Hair loss isn’t one diagnosis. Pattern thinning, sudden patches, diffuse shedding, tension-related loss and scarring alopecia have different causes—and they are not treated the same.

During your evaluation, I use DP Scan imaging to take a closer look at your scalp and follicles, help you see what may be happening, establish a baseline and objectively track changes over time.

We also consider hormones, thyroid function, iron and nutrient status, stress, illness, medications and styling practices before deciding on the right next step.

If you’re a good candidate for hair restoration, we’ll build a structured treatment plan. If you need labs, medical treatment or a dermatology referral first, I’ll tell you that too.

Because the goal isn’t simply to treat hair loss. It’s to understand it.
