Honored is an understatement! Helms College invited me back for a second time to speak with their students about the power of herbal medicine, and my heart is just so full. During my first visit, we dove into the incredible medicinal properties of common kitchen seasonings.

During my second visit, we took it a step further! We explored two powerful wellness blends: a Heart-Healthy Tea and a Stress Management Tea. After breaking down exactly how these herbs support and affect the body, the students got hands-on and blended their very own custom tea to take home!

I am deeply grateful for these opportunities to share my passion. Seeing the next generation get so excited about blending medicinal herbs for their specific health needs reminds me exactly why I started Peaceful Warrior Apothecary.

This is a traditional herb with a long history in European herbalism. Agrimony (Agrimonia eupatoria) is a hedge plant related to the rose and known for its bright yellow flowers. Nearly the entire plant, everything except the roots, is used in herbal preparations.

The heart behind Peaceful Warrior Apothecary 💜

Kelly grew up knowing her name meant “Warrior Princess,” and the path she would walk began early. Her father, a chiropractor who still practices today, introduced her to the power of holistic health from a young age.

At 21, Kelly became an American Warrior, serving nearly seven years in the United States Army, including two deployments to Afghanistan, and earning an honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant (SSG). During her husband’s Army career, she also embraced the roles of military spouse and mother.

After military life, Kelly followed her passion for natural healing and earned Master’s Degrees in Holistic Health & Wellness and Herbal Medicine from the American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) in Portland, Oregon.

With that knowledge and life experience, she created Peaceful Warrior Apothecary—a place dedicated to sharing herbal medicine, holistic wellness, and education with the community.

The name reflects her journey: Once an American Warrior, now a Peaceful Warrior. Still strong, but focused on healing, balance, and helping others live healthier lives.
