💙✨ KBS Harrison Social Skills Groups ✨💙
This week, our Harrison County groups focused on some of the most important social skills children can develop:
🤝 Making Friends
👂 Active Body Listening
💬 Meaningful Conversations
🎲 Sharing and Taking Turns
❤️ Identifying the Qualities of a Good Friend
Through cooperative games, group discussions, creative activities, and teamwork challenges, participants practiced how to join conversations, listen to others, share ideas, show kindness, and build lasting friendships. Together, they created a “Recipe for Friendship,” identifying the ingredients that help friendships grow—kindness, honesty, sharing, encouragement, and having fun together.
While every activity was meaningful, the best moment of the week came from a parent who shared:
💙 “Mom, I made my first friend.” 💙
Those are the moments that remind us why we do what we do.
At KBS, we know that friendships build confidence, belonging, and lifelong social skills. Watching our participants connect with peers, gain confidence, and experience the joy of friendship is truly priceless.
We are so proud of each child for stepping outside their comfort zone, practicing new skills, and supporting one another along the way.
💙✨
