Today was a day of learning, collaboration, and growth for KBS! 💙

Our team had the opportunity to spend the day with the wonderful Behavioral Team at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as we continue working toward an exciting new collaboration.

Today’s training focused on Motivational Interviewing—learning new ways to have meaningful conversations, meet people where they are, support their autonomy, and help individuals identify their own motivation for positive change.

What we especially love about this approach is how broadly it can impact the work we do. These skills will not only strengthen the support we provide to our clients, but also the way we partner with parents, families, caregivers, educators, and the many professionals and communities we serve.

At KBS, we believe that continuing to learn makes us better clinicians, better collaborators, and ultimately better supports for the people who trust us.

A huge thank you to the Nationwide Children’s Behavioral Team for sharing their knowledge with us today. We are incredibly excited about what this collaboration can bring and what comes next! 💙

🎓💙 Oh, the places they’ll go! 💙🎓

Today was a pretty special day at KBS as we celebrated four amazing graduates from our Learning Readiness Academy!

These four kiddos came to us with their own personalities, strengths, challenges, and individual needs — and somewhere along the way, they became their own little team. ❤️

They learned so much more than colors, shapes, letters, routines, and classroom skills. They learned how to share, take turns, wait for a friend, communicate what they need, celebrate each other, and understand that sometimes their friends need something a little different than they do.

We’ve gone through more Goldfish, granola bars, and Cheez-Its than we could ever count 😂, shared lots of laughs, worked through some hard moments, celebrated some HUGE accomplishments, and made memories we will never forget.

Some of their biggest successes might look like little moments to the rest of the world — but to us, their families, and the people who have watched them work so hard, we know just how BIG those moments really are. 💙

Today, watching them in their tiny caps and gowns, we couldn’t help but think about just how far each one of them has come.

To our families, thank you for trusting us with your babies. Thank you for allowing our team to teach them, challenge them, cheer for them, laugh with them, and most of all, love them.

And to our four little graduates — keep learning, keep growing, keep being kind, and keep being wonderfully YOU. 🌟

We are so incredibly proud of you, and no matter where your next adventure takes you, you will always have a place in the KBS family. 💙

Four years. Countless smiles. Endless memories. 💙

Today, we say “see you later” to two very special members of our KBS family, Emily and Sian, as they wrap up their final day as our summer interns. 😭

Over the last 4 summers, we’ve had the privilege of watching these two incredible young women grow from interns into confident leaders. They have done it all—helping lead our summer social skills groups, providing 1:1 therapy, becoming Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), creating fun and engaging KBS TikToks, planning events, and bringing so much energy, creativity, and compassion to our team.

But what we’ll remember most isn’t everything they accomplished—it’s the relationships they built. They have made a lasting impact on our children, families, and staff, and have become such an important part of the KBS story.

As Sian heads into her senior year and Emily begins her junior year of college, we couldn’t be more proud of the amazing women they are becoming. Watching them grow over these last few years has been such a joy, and they will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Thank you, Emily and Sian, for your hard work, your kindness, your laughter, and for pouring your hearts into every child you worked with. KBS is better because of you.

We know this isn’t goodbye forever—it’s simply the next chapter.

✨ Glow big or glow home! ✨

What better way to celebrate the final week of our KBS Harrison Summer Social Skills Group than with a Glow Party & Ice Cream Social! 🌟🍦

Our kiddos had an amazing time lighting up the room with glow sticks, sharing laughs with friends, dancing, playing games, and cooling off with a sweet ice cream treat. 💚💙🩷💛

While the fun is unforgettable, so is the growth we’ve seen all summer. From building friendships and practicing communication to increasing confidence and teamwork, these kids have worked incredibly hard—and today was all about celebrating their success! 🌈

A huge thank you to our amazing therapists who make every group engaging, meaningful, and full of joy. We couldn’t do it without you! 💙

We can’t wait to see what this school year brings. Until then… keep shining! ✨

💙🌈 What an incredible day at The Arc of Ohio’s annual “Everyone’s Got Talent!” 🌈💙

Today was filled with laughter, creativity, connection, and so many unforgettable moments. Our KBS team had an amazing time meeting families, cheering on talented performers, helping with tie-dye creations, and celebrating the unique abilities that make our community so special.

Watching individuals take the stage with confidence, families make memories together, and our community come together in support of inclusion is exactly what this event is all about.

A huge thank you to The Arc of Ohio, the volunteers, performers, families, and everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello. We are honored to be a small part of such a meaningful event each year.

Days like today remind us that when people are given the opportunity to shine, amazing things happen. 💙

💦 Water Week at KBS! ☀️🌭

Water Week is officially in full swing at Kendall Behavioral Solutions, and it’s safe to say it’s one of our clients’ favorite weeks of the summer… and maybe our therapists’ too! 💙

From racing down water slides and splashing with friends to cooling off in the pools, our clients had an unforgettable day filled with fun. We even wrapped it all up with a cookout, 🌭 giving everyone a chance to relax, enjoy lunch together, and continue building friendships outside of structured activities.

While it looks like one big summer celebration, every activity is intentionally designed to help our clients practice important social and life skills, including:

🎉 Celebrating others
⏳ Waiting patiently
💙 Building friendships
🌟 Flexibility and teamwork

🌟 Another Amazing Week at KBS Social Skills Groups! 🌟

Our Belmont and Harrison groups have been busy learning, creating, exploring, and—most importantly—building meaningful friendships! 💙❤️

This week our children enjoyed:
🎆 Creating festive Fourth of July fireworks crafts
🦮 A special visit to the library to meet animal ambassadors from Oglebay’s Good Zoo
🎨 Working together on a collaborative Puppy Dog Mural
🎳 Magnetile Bowling to practice teamwork, turn-taking, planning, and problem-solving
🧱 Building together with blocks while practicing communication, patience, and cooperation
🚗 Zooming through our hallways on our bumper cars, building motor planning, body awareness, spatial awareness, and taking turns while cheering each other on
⭐ Designing patriotic ribbon wands and celebrating Independence Day
🎉 Sensory exploration, imaginative play, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends
