If you cleared out everything in your life that no longer serves you, what would actually be left?

Not what you'd lose. What would remain standing.

Most of us never ask this question because we're too busy managing the pile. We keep adding commitments, relationships, habits, and obligations without ever going back to sort through what's already there. Order starts with an honest inventory, not a to-do list.

Today, just sit with the question. You don't have to answer it publicly, and you don't have to fix anything yet. Awareness always comes before Order.

Drop a single word in the comments describing the first thing that came to mind. I'll read them all.

The journey from anger to peace is a practice. It shapes how you respond, handle fear, make decisions, and care for yourself.

Your calendar looks full. Your soul feels scattered. Those are two different problems.

This month I want to talk about Order. Not the kind your mother nagged you about. The spiritual kind. In Unity teaching, Order is one of the Twelve Powers, a real spiritual faculty you were born with, not a personality trait some people have and others don't.

Order isn't about color-coded folders or a spotless kitchen counter. It's about knowing what belongs in your life right now and what doesn't. It's the ability to sort the important from the merely urgent, and to trust that there is a right time and a right sequence for the things you're carrying.

Charles Fillmore taught that Order works with the other powers, not against them. Faith without Order stays a wish. Love without Order becomes exhausting. Order is what turns spiritual understanding into something you can actually live.

So this month, we're not collecting more information. We're going to practice putting it to work.

What part of your life has been asking for Order lately? Tell me in the comments. I read every one.

Our lives are built from smaller moments, like planting a flower and waiting for it to grow. The bamboo story illustrates this: years of unseen effort lead to sudden growth. Consistent small choices pave the way for future success.

🎙️ NEW EPISODE

Have you ever prayed:

🙏 “God, just give me a sign.”

But somewhere deep down, you already knew the answer?

Yeah. Me too.

Sometimes I’ve asked for another sign because I wanted clarity.

Other times, I knew what I needed to do. I just wasn’t ready to do it yet.

🎧 EPISODE 19
“You Keep Asking for a Sign. What If You Already Know?”

This week on Take That Truth and Walk With It… with Rev. Rich P., we’re talking about those decisions we keep circling.

Maybe it’s a job you’ve been thinking about leaving.

Maybe there’s a conversation you know you need to have.

Maybe an opportunity is sitting in front of you, and fear keeps getting louder every time you think about saying yes.

So how do you know when fear is talking?

How do you recognize intuition?

And what does that “still small voice” actually feel like when you’re trying to make a real-life decision?

I share some of what I’ve learned from my own life, including the times I stayed too long because I kept waiting to feel certain.

Here’s the question I want you to sit with today:

💭 “If I stopped waiting for another sign, what do I already know?”

Don’t rush the answer.

Give yourself a little quiet and see what comes up.

💬 LET’S TALK:

Have you ever asked God for a sign when you already knew what you needed to do?

Tell me in the comments.

And if you know somebody who has been praying, researching, asking everyone’s opinion, and still circling the same decision, share this episode with them.

Take that truth…

and walk with it.

I’m really grateful to be part of this next chapter for UUMS Anointed Radio.

Watching this station move to Live365 feels like more than a platform change. It feels like an opportunity to serve UUMS in a bigger way, support the artists whose music we play, create space for more voices, and reach people who may need the right message at the right time.

I’m excited about what is coming next. New shows. New conversations. More music. More classes. More opportunities to connect.

And I’m grateful to everyone who listens, supports, shares, contributes, and helps this ministry keep growing.

If you feel moved to listen, please do. Search for UUMS Anointed Radio on Live365 and save us to your favorites.

And if you feel moved to support the station, visit uums.org, click the Donate button, and in the notes add “For UUMS Anointed Radio.”

Every listen matters. Every share matters. Every gift helps us keep building.

I’m thankful to be part of it, and I’m excited to see where this goes.

Stop trying to save the world and start focusing on what makes YOU the best version of yourself. Your choices, reactions, and actions are yours to control. This shift in perspective can truly change your life, empowering you to respond differently even when triggered.

Some pain gets carried a lot longer than anyone realizes.

We learn how to function. We smile. We keep moving. We may even convince ourselves that everything is fine.

I know something about that.

Writing became one of the places where I could slow down, tell myself the truth, and begin working through things I had carried for years.

That experience eventually became part of why I created these journals.

For teens, sometimes the hardest part is simply figuring out what they are feeling and having a safe place to put it.

These guided journals focus on real things young people face every day:

• Anger
• Anxiety
• Confidence
• Self-worth
• Forgiveness
• Grief

They are designed to create space for reflection, honesty, growth, and conversation.

If there is a teen in your life who is carrying something they may not know how to talk about yet, give them another way to begin.

Sometimes a journal is more than pages.

Sometimes it is the first place we finally tell the truth.

You do not need a new month to become a new person. You need a new decision.

Let’s take a breath.

We have spent this month talking about the Power of Will.

Not force.

Not control.

Not pretending life is easy.

Will is the spiritual ability to choose.

To choose peace when fear is loud.

To choose gratitude when disappointment is real.

To choose forgiveness when holding on feels easier.

To choose honesty.

To choose healing.

To choose the next faithful step.

The truth is, your life will not change because you read a good post.

It changes when you practice what you know.

That’s the work.

So as August closes, ask yourself:

What truth am I ready to live instead of simply admire?

Write it down.

Say it out loud.

Then take that truth and walk with it.

"Be doers of the word, and not hearers only." — James 1:22

Awareness is the first step to transformation. This week, we move beyond noticing what's happening to actively shaping our lives through intention and the power of will. Make deliberate choices to guide your direction.
