Many women in menopause believe they're stuck because they don't know enough.

They read more books.
Listen to more podcasts.
Search for more answers.

But sometimes the issue isn't a lack of information.

It's a lack of trust in themselves.

The women who create lasting change aren't always the most confident.

They're often the women who decide to act before they feel completely ready.

That's where momentum begins. www.drdebbutler.com/531

After only a few sessions, this client identified what changed most.

Not the food.
Not the scale.
Her self-worth.

When women begin to see themselves differently, their decisions begin to change too.

That's often where lasting weight loss starts.

You may already know exactly what you need.

The problem isn't knowing. The problem is saying yes to yourself.

This week, I share two client stories that deeply moved me. One woman told me her life had gone from "black and white to Technicolor." Another came to coaching convinced she couldn't lose weight and wasn't sure she could change her drinking habits.

Neither woman started with confidence.

Both started with a feeling that there had to be a different way.

What changed wasn't just their eating or drinking. What changed was how they saw themselves. They stopped waiting for certainty and started trusting what they already knew inside.

If you've been listening to this podcast and wondering whether change is really possible for you, this episode may help you see your situation differently.

Curiosity changes everything.

When you're judging yourself, your brain becomes defensive.

When you're curious, your brain becomes available for learning.

The women I work with don't create lasting change through criticism. They create it by becoming willing to understand themselves.

Curiosity is often the first step toward ThINNER Peace.

So many women in menopause assume their struggle with food is permanent.

They think cravings, guilt, and constant mental chatter are simply part of life.

They aren't.

There is another way to think about food, your body, and yourself.

And when those thoughts change, your experience changes too.

That's the deeper message in this week's conversation. www.drdebbutler.com/530

Many women in menopause believe stress is the reason they overeat.

But what if the problem isn't the stress itself?

In this clip, Michelle explains the breakthrough that changed everything for her. She discovered that it wasn't the circumstances in her life creating her eating habits. It was the way she was thinking about those circumstances.

That shift changed her relationship with food, stress, and herself.

Many women in menopause believe they need more discipline.

What they often need is a different conversation with themselves.

Food becomes exhausting when every craving feels dangerous and every choice feels like a test.

The goal isn't perfect eating.

The goal is learning how to trust yourself around food again.

That's where ThINNER Peace begins.

What if every craving didn't need to be answered?

Michelle shares how she learned to pause and ask herself a simple question: Is this something I truly want to enjoy, or is this just an urge?

That small distinction changed everything.

When she stopped reacting immediately, she discovered that urges could come and go without controlling her behavior.

A powerful lesson for women in menopause.

What if the stress isn't the problem?

What if the way you're thinking about the stress is what's keeping you stuck with food?

In this week's episode, Michelle shares what happened when she stopped trying to control herself around food and started understanding herself instead.

For years, she believed stress was causing her eating struggles. She worried that if she stopped restricting herself, she'd lose all control. What she found was the exact opposite.

When she stopped labeling foods as good and bad, cravings became easier to manage. When she stopped fighting urges, they stopped feeling so powerful. And when she became more curious about her thoughts, she became less critical of herself.

This conversation isn't about perfection. It's about discovering that peace with food is possible, even after decades of struggle.

A new week is here and this is the only thing I keep coming back to.

You cannot control what happened last week.

You cannot control what the scale says, what someone said to you, or what your body did or did not do.
But you can control how you see it.

That is not a small thing. That is everything.

A new episode will be out this week — stay tuned!
