I once was blessed with a 90 year old roommate. My husband’s grandfather welcomed me with an open home and gave me full rights as “woman of the house.“
I was working as a banker, finishing my bachelors degree, planning a wedding, and becoming a stepmother during that time. 
Grandpa watched me everyday balance the hats I was wearing. He told me to always be learning, and to be sure my children knew that learning was a part of every day they lived on this earth.
