🚨 Parents, Grandparents & Caregivers: Have You Heard of Kratom?
Often marketed as an "energy booster" or natural supplement, Kratom is becoming one of the latest substances being misused by teens and young adults.
What many people don't realize is that Kratom can have very different effects depending on the amount used:
⚡ In smaller doses, it acts as a stimulant, increasing energy and alertness.
😴 In larger doses, it acts as a sedative, slowing the body and increasing the risk of overdose.
Kratom can also cause:
• Addiction and dependence
• Hallucinations and confusion
• Nausea, vomiting, and rapid heart rate
• Seizures and other serious health complications
Although Kratom remains legal in many areas, it is not approved by the FDA for medical use and has been identified by the DEA as a Drug and Chemical of Concern.
The best protection is awareness. Talk with your teens about Kratom and other emerging substances that may appear harmless but can carry serious risks. https://bit.ly/3RygFyi
