Quick Little Clinic Update 🫶🏻

I once prayed for the exact season I’m in right now, and I am so grateful and so honored that so many of you want my help and trust me as your provider. I truly do not take that lightly.

But I feel like I need to address something — I have been getting a lot of calls and messages from people trying to get in for consultations… and I hate that I even have to make this announcement🙈…but I am currently booked out through the end of June for new patient consultations.

I know that’s frustrating. I know you’re ready to start feeling better and you don’t want to wait. I can’t tell you how much I hate telling people I am booked out nearly a month!! Because helping people is literally why I do what I do!

But what I am not willing to do is rush through appointments just to see MORE people in a shorter amount of time. My new patient appointments are LONG. Every single patient gets their own individualized plan tailored specifically to them. I am not willing compromise on that. Ever. That is literally why I started this practice. I’m a quality over quantity type of gal 😌

When I do open availability, I mean it when I say it’s gone within minutes. So the best thing you can do right now is keep checking the website, or you’re always welcome to text the clinic and we can get you added to a waitlist as we start to put that together. 📋

Also, just a quick thank you - everything I have built over the last 3+ years has come from word of mouth — from YOU (I clearly don’t even have time for educational social media posts!!🙈).

But seriously, I couldn’t do any of this without the patients who have trusted me and chosen me as their provider. I will never take that for granted.🤍

05/12/2026

I spoke with 5 new patients today. FIVE. And every single one of them said the same thing:
“My labs came back normal.”

So let me say this LOUD for the people in the back —

🚨 NORMAL IS NOT OPTIMAL. 🚨
(Seriously, someone put this on a shirt for me. I will pay you. I mean it.😆)

Normal just means you’re not sick enough yet. It means you fall somewhere in a reference range built around averages. It does NOT mean you should feel exhausted, foggy, moody, unmotivated, or like a stranger in your own body.

This is exactly WHY I opened this practice.
Men and women — I see it every single day across the board. You’re in your 30s, 40s, 50s and you KNOW something is off. But you keep getting sent home with a clean bill of health and zero answers.

People don’t want another prescription thrown at them. They want someone to actually sit down, look at the whole picture, and figure out what’s really going on.

And here’s what might surprise you — the answer isn’t always hormones. Sometimes it’s how you’re sleeping. How your body is managing stress. Inflammation. Nutrient levels. Things that get overlooked when someone only has 7 minutes with you.

If you’ve been told your labs are “normal” but you still feel anything but — you’re not crazy. You’re not being dramatic. You just haven’t had the right conversation yet.

That’s what we do here. 🫶🏻

Big Announcement! 🌟

Mason City Men’s Clinic is now Mason City Wellness.

When I first opened the practice, my focus was helping men optimize their hormones and improve their health.

Over time, I began helping more women navigate hormone imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, metabolic challenges, fatigue, and symptoms that are too often dismissed. The impact has been undeniable — and it became clear the name no longer reflected the full scope of who I serve.

Mason City Wellness now represents care for both men and women through a functional, root-cause approach to hormone and metabolic health.

This next chapter is about comprehensive, personalized care — and helping more people finally get real answers.

I’m excited for what’s ahead. 🤍

In case you missed it...

On February 28, 2025, the FDA removed the black box warning for testosterone therapy! 🎉

This significant update means that testosterone therapy is now recognized as safe and effective when used appropriately under medical supervision.

The previous concerns about cardiovascular risks have been addressed, allowing us to focus on the positive impacts of TRT on men's health.👊

If you've been considering TRT or have questions about how this change affects you, let's discuss how we can optimize your health and well-being!

Water alone isn't enough! 💧

If you're working hard at the gym, adjusting to testosterone therapy, or just want to feel your best, electrolytes are key to staying hydrated.💪

Adding Relyte, LMNT, or even Celtic Sea Salt to your water can make a world of difference in how you feel.

Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium help with muscle function, energy, and keeping your body in balance.

Next time you hydrate, remember: it's not just about water, it's about hydration with electrolytes! 💥

Wondering Why Your Hematocrit is High? 🩸 Let’s Break It Down!

If you've been told your hematocrit is elevated, you might be curious about what’s behind it. Elevated hematocrit means more red blood cells in your blood, but it’s not always something to worry about. Here’s what could be causing it:

💧 Dehydration – Not enough water? Your blood can get more concentrated.
😴 Sleep Apnea – Interrupted breathing at night = more red blood cells.
🚬 Smoking – Low oxygen = your body makes more red blood cells.
⛰️ High Altitudes – Living in thin air? Your body naturally adapts.
💨 Chronic Lung Conditions – Conditions like COPD can lower oxygen, prompting your body to make more red blood cells.
💪 Performance Enhancers – Anabolic steroids or EPO can raise your red blood cell count.

If you’re concerned, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Elevated hematocrit often has manageable causes. Stay healthy, stay informed. 💪

Should You Donate Blood While on Testosterone Therapy?🩸

You’ve probably heard it before: “Donate blood to avoid blowing up on testosterone.” But let’s be real—therapeutic testosterone (TRT) isn’t about cranking up your levels to extremes. It’s about getting your testosterone back to healthy, optimal levels.

So, here’s the deal with blood donation while on TRT: testosterone can lead to secondary erythrocytosis, where your body naturally produces more red blood cells. While this is great for energy and stamina, too many red blood cells can thicken your blood. And that’s where blood donation can help!

But here’s the catch: donating too often can lower your iron stores (especially ferritin), which can leave you feeling sluggish. 🚫

My recommendation? Keep donations to twice a year to help manage red blood cells without messing with your iron levels. We’ll keep an eye on your ferritin, and you’ll still be able to help others without feeling drained.

Your health, your balance. 💪
