Day 5 after microneedling- the progress is as expected- flaking of the skin and still is slightly swollen face.
Plus I decided to do Botox into my nose muscles to see if that will make the nose visually more slender. I can see my nose muscles flair my nostrils and Botox should reduce this function.
💉 Nose injection is apparently very painful, and I just had microneedling down to 2 mm on my face just few days ago, so I can take pain.
Here I had to use lidocaine (BLT) cream and for clients I would offer lidocaine block if they would want this procedure.
Now we wait for the results.

After Microneedling, we expect to have some redness and possible swelling for about 24 hours. After skin will start getting better. In some people, we will see exfoliation-shedding of the top layer of skin for a few days, but by day 3 to 5 you will notice the glow of the skin and within couple of weeks the collagen will start forming and skin will become tighter and better. We have a Scarlet Pro- Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling in the office right now. That is even better procedure that provides deeper skin tightening over longer period of time, but since it was easer for me to just take the Microneedling Pen home over the long weekend I just have done that.
I am looking forward to getting all the benefits of this procedure: less fine lines, tighter skin, the glow.
