You cannot expect to have a procedure and look fabulous within 24 hours. It frequently takes 3 to 5 days for swelling to go down, inflammation to subside, and your skin to start looking better. After more aggressive treatments, recovery can take even longer. For example, after an ablative facial laser treatment, it may take 7 to 10 days before your skin begins to look and feel better.

I recently had a PLADUOpro treatment during an AMP event, and I still have some swelling, uneven skin tone, and dryness. PLADUOpro uses dual plasma technology with nitrogen and argon plasma to support skin rejuvenation and stimulate the skin’s natural regenerative processes.

But I know that in about a week, my skin will start glowing. All of those reparative and regenerative processes will be in full swing, and by the end of the month, my skin will look fantastic.

The important thing to remember is that great results take time. What your skin looks like the day after a treatment is not your final result.

I like working with cannulas — and there’s a reason why.

Cannulas are incredibly versatile in aesthetic and regenerative treatments. I can use them to deliver Cellenis Derma PRP biofillers, Renuva®, traditional dermal fillers, PLLA, place lifting threads, and more.

One of the biggest advantages is safety. Because a cannula has a blunt tip rather than a sharp needle point, it generally has a lower risk of entering a blood vessel. It also allows me to work within a specific tissue plane and distribute the product smoothly through the treatment area.

Of course, needles still have an important role. There are areas where I may prefer a needle for precision — such as the chin, zygomatic area (cheekbones), and certain parts of the temples.

But whenever the treatment and anatomy allow it, I prefer working with a cannula.

For me, it’s not simply about delivering a product. It’s about choosing the right technique, working in the appropriate tissue plane, minimizing unnecessary trauma, and supporting natural-looking results and skin regeneration.

Every face is different, and the technique should always be selected based on your anatomy, the treatment area, and the product being used.
