⚠️ **Tylenol® Safety: Know Your Daily Limit**
Tylenol contains **acetaminophen**, an effective pain reliever and fever reducer when used correctly.
The FDA states that the adult total from all acetaminophen-containing medicines combined MUST NOT EXCEED 4,000 mg in 24 hours, and excessive amounts can cause severe liver damage
Remember: **4,000 mg is the maximum—not a target.** Always follow the directions on your specific product because some products have a lower daily limit.
Too much acetaminophen can overwhelm the liver and cause severe or potentially life-threatening liver damage.
✅ Check pain, cold/flu, and prescription medicine labels
✅ Add up acetaminophen from every product
✅ Do not use more than one acetaminophen-containing product at a time
✅ Ask your pharmacist if you have liver disease, drink alcohol regularly, or are unsure about your dose
If you think too much acetaminophen was taken, contact **Poison Control immediately at 1-800-222-1222**—even if there are no symptoms yet.
