I'm honored to share that Thinking Therapeutics has been featured as a new business in this August Maineville Magazine!

Starting Thinking Therapeutics has been more than opening a practice—it's been about creating a place where people feel heard, understood, and supported on their mental health journey. My mission has always been to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care while treating every person with dignity, respect, and hope.

A heartfelt thank you to the magazine for highlighting our practice and helping us share our vision with the community.

To everyone who has trusted Thinking Therapeutics with your care, referred a friend or family member, or supported this journey in any way—thank you. Your encouragement means more than you know.

Here's to continuing to bring hope, healing, and new possibilities to our community.

The Maineville Magazine is a digital community publication that focuses on the Northern Cincinnati communities of Maineville, Mason, Loveland, Lebanon & Morrow, Ohio.

Over the years, people have asked me why I left emergency medicine to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

The truth is...I never stopped loving emergency medicine. I still thrive in a crisis. Helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives has always been meaningful to me.

What changed was recognizing a different need.

I saw far too many people struggling to access quality psychiatric care. Many didn't feel understood. They were living with trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, bipolar disorder, or other mental health conditions, yet they often felt judged, dismissed, or hopeless.

That realization led me to create Thinking Therapeutics.

I believe trauma, biology, and life experiences shape the way we see ourselves and the way we believe the world sees us. Those experiences can quietly change the way we think, feel, and live.

I also believe that healing begins with understanding.

My goal isn't simply to prescribe medication. It's to listen, to educate, to provide honest and personalized care, and to help people better understand their own minds.

Medication should work for you—not against you. Treatment should be individualized, evidence-based, and built around your unique story.

Most of all, I want every patient to leave my office with something many people have lost:

Hope.

At Thinking Therapeutics, you matter.

Your story matters.

Your experiences matter.

And healing is possible.

💜 A dream many years in the making is finally here. 💜

I'm so excited to share the new website for my private practice, Thinking Therapeutics!

🌐 Visit: www.thinkingtherapeutics.com

This practice represents something I've dreamed about for a long time—a place where people can receive compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. It has truly been a lifelong goal, and seeing it come to life is incredibly meaningful to me.

I also have to give a huge thank you to my daughter, who designed and built it. She poured so much creativity, talent, and love into it, and I couldn't be more proud of what she created.

If you have a few minutes, I'd love for you to visit the website and let me know what you think. If you're in Ohio, I would be so grateful if you would share this post and help spread the word. You never know who may be looking for help—or who knows someone who is.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way. Your kindness has meant more than you know, and I'm so excited for this next chapter.

There is something profoundly humbling about sitting across from someone who looks you in the eyes and tells you that, since childhood, they have lived with abuse, chronic suicidal thoughts, and never truly understood what it felt like to want to live.

Then, after receiving treatment, they look at you again and say, "I've never felt this much hope in my entire life."

Moments like these remind me why I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

In nursing, we learn about caring theory—the idea that healing begins with seeing the whole person, honoring their experiences, and meeting them with compassion, dignity, and presence. It isn't just a theory; it's something I have the privilege of witnessing every day.

People often ask about my mission statement or business strategy. The truth is, I don't have a polished slogan or a corporate vision. Much to the chagrin of my business manager, I don't wake up thinking about quotas or budgets.

I simply want to build a place where people can come, say, "I need help," and know someone is ready to listen and help them find hope again.

To me, that's success.

Life has a way of disguising growth as tragedy. Divorce. Loss. Career changes. Doors closing. In the moment, those experiences can feel devastating. But sometimes they are simply making room for a life that is more aligned with who we're meant to become.

I'm living in that season right now.

It's challenging. It's emotional. It's uncertain.

But it's also incredibly exciting.

And for the first time in a long time, I can't wait to see what's next.

Depression. Addiction. Bipolar disorder. PTSD. Schizophrenia.

At Thinking Therapeutics, we believe healing starts with a conversation and a provider who truly listens.

Do you struggle with depression?

If traditional antidepressants have not provided adequate relief, Spravato® (esketamine) treatment may be an option for you.

FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression, Spravato is a prescription nasal spray that works differently than traditional antidepressants and may provide relief for individuals who continue to experience depressive symptoms despite treatment.

To qualify for Spravato treatment, most patients must have documentation showing that at least two antidepressant medications were ineffective or did not provide sufficient improvement.

While Spravato can be highly effective, the best outcomes are often achieved through a comprehensive treatment approach that includes medication management, therapy, and healthy lifestyle changes.

If you have questions about Spravato treatment or would like to determine whether you may be a candidate, please contact our office. We would be happy to discuss your options and help you find the treatment plan that is right for you.
