Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home

Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home We invite you to come tour the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon,Illinois. We have served Coles County for over 126 years with exceptional health care!

If you’re looking for short term Rehab,Memory Care or Long term needs, we are the best in the area! "Extra effort is made to ensure every resident feels as though this is also their home." Built in 1898, Odd Fellow - Rebekah Home's original building was part of a private community consisting of a farm, housing for staff, and "The Old Folks Home." The old 3-story building was torn down and replaced

in 1976 with our current single-story building. The Alzheimer's unit was added in 1996. Our facility is owned by the Odd Fellows Organization and the Rebekah Assembly of Illinois and is operated by Heritage Enterprises. "Whether they are here for short-term rehabilitation or long-term, every person is treated as family. Odd Fellow-Rebekah is unique in that a large portion of the staff has been a part of the organization for years," says administrator David Standerfer. "The care residents receive here is focused on each person as an individual and based on their needs not only physically, but emotionally. I am proud to be a part of the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home family, as we continue to care for our community." Beyond the caliber of our care and staff, our facility boasts other fine features, such as our breathtaking location on sprawling, park-like grounds and recent renovations to our facility. We offer extensive on-site services - including a hair salon/beauty shop, respite care, hospice care, and physical, occupational, and speech therapies. We also have a 42-bed additional specifically built for the wandering aspects of people with Alzheimer's and dementia. We are also proud to be a certified provider of LSVT LOUD, a speech therapy program that treats voice and speech conditions related to Parkinson's disease and other neurological diagnoses. What differentiates a facility of excellence from a nursing home? For some, it is just living up to its reputation.

On Father’s Day, we acknowledge the many dedicated fathers residing at and working for the Odd Fellow Rebekah home. We appreciate the men who have taken on paternal roles, whether through biology or circumstance, and have become positive influences on children’s lives. Being a father figure carries significant importance. We pay tribute to all fathers, uncles, and stepfathers who consistently demonstrate their commitment.

We at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home are deeply grateful to Kim Kalousek and the Palacky Lodge #630 for their generous donation of the power scooter. Mrs. Betty Easton, a resident of the Fellowship Center and a recent graduate of our Rehab Program, was visibly moved as she received the scooter.
